And lastly we pay tribute to Lee's Great Uncle Howard, he was a WW2 hero killed in action March 29th 1945. Lee Weems is the owner and operator of First Person Safety and is also staffed with Rangemaster LLC where he assist Tom Givens with their storied Instructor Development program. He has been a Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST) certified peace officer since 1999 having been sworn at the local, state, and federal levels and has served as a patrolman, field training officer, detective, supervisor, three terms as Chief Deputy, and currently as an agency training coordinator. He served two terms as a member of the Board of Directors of the (GALEFI), and he teaches college classes in political science and criminal justice. He received the Distinguished Weapons Expert rating based on his scores in the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers’ Firearms Instructor Training Program. He is a Georgia POST certified general and firearms instructor and is a graduate of the FBI Police Firearms Instructor program and the FBI Law Enforcement Instructor School and has completed the certification program as well as the Use of Force Instructor Training Program, Active Shooter Instructor Training Program, and the Basic Tactical Medical Instructor Training Program. He also holds the Georgia POST Managerial, Supervisory, Field Training Officer, Advanced, and Senior Deputy certifications, and he has been recognized by GALEFI as a Master Firearms Instructor. Ep. 144 - Sam Ferguson - Galo Combatives Group Sam Ferguson is a highly experienced Police officer with six years of service in Lexington, KY. He has been a combat sports enthusiast throughout his life, having trained in MMA, boxing, and Thai boxing. While well-rounded in striking, he has made a name for himself as a skilled grappler. His journey began at 8 when he started wrestling, which he continues to coach at a high school level. In addition to wrestling, Sam has also earned a blue belt in judo and a 1st-degree black belt in BJJ. Additionally, he has proven himself a top competitor, having medaled at No Gi Worlds as a purple, brown, and black belt. As Sam shifted his focus to his career in law enforcement, his attention moved towards combatives and arrest tactics. As a patrol officer on the third shift, he earned a black belt in combatives. He trained with renowned experts such as Paul Sharpe, Larry Lindeman, Craig Douglas, and Aaron Janetti. Thanks to his extensive combat sports background, he has been able to translate his knowledge and skills into practical and effective combatives training for his work as a police officer. They are both survivors of the 2012 Benghazi, Libya attacks and are authors of the book, Benghazi Know Thy Enemy, A Cold Case Investigation. Many will recall the book “13 Hrs in Benghazi” and the Benghazi attacks themselves. Boon was one of the CIA GRS contractor whom went to the aid of Ambassador Chris Stevens and his staff at the Benghazi Consulate, and later defended the CIA Annex against al-Qa’ida terrorist. Sarah was a CIA analyst and the on the ground targeter for the Benghazi CIA Annex. Sarah was also a Senior Advisor to the US House of Representatives Select Committee on Benghazi. Contrary to popular media accounts, these attacks were not the result of an anti-Islam YouTube video per the Obama administration, these attacks were planned by hardened al-Qa’ida terrorist, with the Consulate attack ordered by the leader of AQ Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri. In these attacks we lost four patriotic Americans: Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone “Rone” Woods, and Glenn “Bub” Doherty. This investigation is to help bring these terrorist to justice.
