formerly pig city (or making the perfect album in 27 days while pre-apocalyptic)

hello, my name is art. welcome to formerly pig city (or making the perfect album in 27 days while pre-apocalyptic), an art project about queeensland / meanjin, where i am listening to, watching and reading the same things every day, for 27 days, in an effort to go 'full immersion meanjin' and make some music and a zine about queensland and brisbane. by way of background, the albums i am listening to are 'Internationalist' by Powderfinger and 'The Veronicas' by the Veronicas; being the only two albums mentioned in the timeline of brisbane wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_Brisbane). the things I am reading are an article about noisy miner birds, and an article about the effects of climate change on magpie geese, and I am also working my way (very slowly) through the fitzgerald inquiry. the things i am watching are a series of videos taken from the internet, variously and vaguely about aspects of queensland (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUpeniUnTNw-Bsn-6PR0jmDcDmTJz-XWv&si=BMKjaoLortqbG7yE). i am recording audio logs as part of the process. it is supposed to be something approaching comedic or entertaining, but as with all things, the hope is just that it is in some way meaningful.
