Lucy Spoors has dedicated her life to the sport of rowing since the age of 17 when she moved up to Cambridge in her last year of High School. Lucy was a member of the Quad sculls crew in their bid to secure a spot at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Heading to the ‘Regatta of Death’ needing a top two finish to qualify, however on race day, things didn’t go to plan and they had missed their last opportunity by finishing third. Close to giving the sport up, Lucy found a new challenge, in the Women's Eight.

Professional Netball player, Bailey Mes has experienced it all with a sporting career. In 2012, in what was called a ‘Shock Selection’, after an amazing trial, Mes her debut against South Africa. At one point in Bailey’s career, she had more games for the Silver Ferns than for the Northern Mystics. By 2018, she had over 40 caps for New Zealand, but after a disastrous display from the Silver Ferns at the Commonwealth Games, Mes was dropped and faced one of her toughest years of being a professional.
