Starting Friday January 5th and running through Thursday January 11th, Film Forum in NYC is hosting a retrospective of some of Leon Ichaso's most loved movies, shot in Nueva York. They're showing EL SUPER, CROSSOVER DREAMS, SUGAR HILL, PIÑERO, EL CANTANTE. In Honor of the well deserved retrospective - Miami should be doing something like this...Leon se lo merece. we spoke to the Co-Writer and Producer of El Super and Crossover Dreams, the wonderful Manuel Arce, about Leon, his life and career and specifically the two beloved films they made together - but also all of Leon's work and the hallmarks of his take on film, crafting some of the most ground breaking, unique, truthful and artful independent films ever made - and Leon's bold take on life and his great way with actors.
