Canada based, PhemPhat Entertainment Group was formed in 1995 to foster the growth, education and promotion of women in all aspects of the music business, not only as artists, but as dj’s, producers, engineers, managers, label owners, and promoters. For 22 years, PhemPhat has produced Honey Jam Canada, the successful all-female talent showcase, which also provides educational, networking and performance opportunities to artists. Honey Jam Canada has grown to become a much-anticipated annual multicultural showcase of upcoming artists in all genres of music, where talents such as Nelly Furtado have performed at the beginning of their careers. Ebonnie introduced Honey Jam Barbados in 2011 to rave reviews and is excited to continue providing opportunities to young women on the island. A spinoff of the event, the Honey Jazz Barbados Festival launched in 2016. Throughout her career, Ebonnie has distinguished herself as someone dedicated to the growth of others and the support of charitable causes. Myrtha Vilbon is Founder and General Director of GLORY INDUSTRIES. GLORY INDUSTRIES is a privately owned, woman founded and operated tissue converting company, located in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. A true pioneer of industry having been among the first toilet paper manufacturers in Haiti, Myrtha faced many challenges in launching her brand in Haiti, which historically has been wrought with poor economic conditions. Born in Port-au-Prince, Myrtha moved to New York as a child, where she graduated from High School. At the age of nineteen, during her university studies, Myrtha became a licensed Real Estate Agent operating in New York, later graduating from Saint John’s University School of Business Administration. After graduating from college, she spent one year in Madrid, Spain where she immersed herself in the Spanish language and culture. Upon her return to Haiti, she helped manage her family’s candy manufacturing business for five years in the early 80’s. In 1985, she opened a retail consumer goods store from which she acquired invaluable sales/trade experience and within less than two years, became one of the largest distributors of local and imported confectionary. Subsequently she worked with brands from the Netherlands, Brazil ,Argentina and France. Seeking to further her education, Myrtha graduated at age fifty eight, with a Law Degree from the School of Law and Economics of Gonaives in Gonaïves, Haiti in September 2015.
