They have such an important impact in our Parish. What do our faith formation teachers get out of the time they dedicate to the students? What does faith mean to each of the students and their teachers? Faith challenges us when we are not being the best version of ourselves. How do we react when we don’t always get what we ask for from God? What is a Saint, how do we recognize them, and can we become one? Do you know what KFCPUFFW means? Hint- it has to do with 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit. What is your favorite book in the Bible? What book do you start with? What is the most powerful Gospel? John portrays Jesus to be compassionate. Babies are beautiful and are the result of marriage. Priest witnesses but doesn’t marry us – it truly is in the eyes of God. Do you pray with your wife? The fruit of praying together is essential to getting to know each other. The “culture” is trying to change how men treat women. When you take God out of anything everything seems to crumble. The Bible teaches true marriage is the giving up of yourself. The Church teaches marriage is a natural right. Marriage inside the church is a covenant between two people – it is a guarantee we can be loved for the rest of our lives, and everyone needs love in their lives. Marriage between a man and a woman is symbolic of God’s relationship with us. How is a Catholic marriage different from a secular a marriage? There is a beauty to the chaos. The sacrament Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing. What is it? – it is a prayer for healing and forgiveness, spiritually, emotionally and physically for the forgiveness of sins but when the person is still alive. Sometimes the prayer is with the person and sometimes it is with the person and their family. This sacrament is not to be administered when a person dies. All sacraments are for the living. It is true it can assist a person getting ready to be received by God. Grace which is received in all sacraments is a share in divine or God’s life. Life is enriched by the grace of God. Christ healed everyone with every illness which included physical and mental health. God intends to restore. God is a loving God. All can benefit from the sacrament of the sick. Reconciliation is an emotional thing and by confessing our sins it heals our heart. Our spiritual healing is so important to us and for the people around us and The Church. It is wrong to believe a priest might judge us or look at us differently. Sin is not important, but the devil wants us to believe it is. It is a trap of the devil. The cost of confession is a willingness to humble yourself. When confessing a sin over and over again, God might decide to take that temptation away. The Catechism says Jesus Christ is the physician of our body & soul. Saying a prayer is a powerful thing. The season of Lent is so powerful because it is a time of repentance, and a reflection of new life God gives us each year. What are the colors of the vestments and what is the reason each are worn at a specific time of year. Quickest way to get on track is to ask for forgiveness. We can be joyful knowing Jesus is powerful enough to fulfill all his promises. What is the Holy Triduum? Jesus promises to send us the Holy Spirit.
