The Truth Behind Moving MLB All-Star Game
Warmer weather means one thing above all else - baseball season! George “the Howitzer” Gerbo and Mike “the Buzz-saw” Asti usher in this MLB season by discussing how much closer things will be to not NL compared to the COVID reduced 2020 season. They also touch on some old faces in new places before diving into the controversy surrounding the decision to move the All-Star Game from Atlanta. Mike points out the real reason he believes MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred decided to move the game and the hypocrisy involved. Why was Colorado picked as the new location of this year’s event over the more obvious choice of Milwaukee? How could the situation have been handled better? Why has the NBA been offered a pass for allowing Atlanta to host their All-Star Game? Will Atlanta earn the game at some point in the not too distant future? The show closes with a recap of the NCAA Tournament, an explanation on what led Baylor to claim its first men’s national title and if a program like Gonzaga will ever win it all.
