I first came across Crystal Blue in an article that she had written for the elephant journal entitled '11 Way Growing Up Abroad has ruined my daughters Life'. The article entered into my life with perfect synchronicity because at the time I was about 4 months out from selling everything that I owned and moving to Kauai with my wife and two daughters, 7 and 10 at the time. My daughters had spent the first portion of their life in the same town in California, surrounded by the comfort of family and friends so taking them away from everything they knew was a scary thing to do. Just like any aspect of raising children, you never really know if you are doing the right thing. I sit at night and I ponder and discuss my decisions as a parent and how what I am doing will effect my daughters. Excellent parenting requires a constant check and balance system. I knew one thing, I had to get them out of the materialistic consumer influence that they were surrounded by at the time ini a conservative town in California. When i read crystal’s article it solidified the move for me. I was going to move no matter what, but reading the article literally brought tears to my eyes because it was a strong confirmation that I was doing the right thing for my daughters lives. I found out who wrote the article and I sent her a message thanking her for her work. I then began following her blog online, the enlightened globetrekker. I been able to watch Crystal and her daughter River traverse the globe experiencing the ultimate freedom of life. Crystal took a leap of faith and left the conventional life to be able to do the things that she loves, be with her daughter all of the time, travel, help people and serve. Whats beautiful is, that through taking the leap and authentically sharing her passion with the world through her blog while remaining unattached to the outcome, a business began to take shape. Now Crystal is living the dream that most keep hidden away in their hearts for a lifetime, she is doing only the things she loves and has generated an income doing it. I first met Michael J Allen at the Oneness Center in Fresno CA a few years back. He was new to the community and he had an energy about him that I had not encountered in my life up until that point. He was calm and happy and it seemed as though positive energy was emanating from his being. I was moved by his presence. Michael began speaking at the Oneness center and I was thoroughly impressed, he was powerfully inspiring and he held the attention and emotion of the crowd very well, all while giving impromptu speeches that seemed to flow from him effortlessly. I later learned that Michael began his spiritual journey under the tutelage of world renown spiritual leader and transformation teacher, Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith. Michael Allen is a powerful human who has dedicated himself to self transformation and is passionate about sharing his knowledge with whomever is searching for it. When the student is ready the teacher will appear. Tune into this episode to hear from one of the greatest teachers that I have yet to encounter on my journey here on Earth. I recently came across the story of brazilian jiujitsu world champion Josh Macin and I was immediately and powerfully moved. There are a lot of people out there who can absorb the wisdom of this story and transform there lives for the better. This is a powerful story of beating depression and finding contentment. I will let Josh share it with you... My name is Josh Macin – and I am here to share an important medicine with the world. Long story short, I spent the past three years in a desperate battle for my survival. I traveled all around the world, spent easily over $100,000, and spent thousands of hours studying every crevice of holistic and natural health to try and treat a “mysterious” physical and mental illness. I was diagnosed with major depression, severe panic disorder, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, and if I would have told the whole truth, many more labels would have come my way. After conventional medicine failed me, I took matters into my own hands. I spent at least two months out of the year water-fasting, worked extensively with plant medicines and shamans in the Amazon jungle, went to the most expensive healers money could buy in NYC, did colonics, acupuncture, float tanks, enemas, took as many supplements as I could afford, ate only the cleanest of foods, and tried every diet known to mankind. I practiced yoga and meditated for 4+ hours a day, swam daily, prayed, and reaffirmed myself with positive thoughts every minute. Through all of this work, time, and money, my health continued to decline, seemingly as if I was eating McDonald’s and drinking Coca-Cola everyday. I really don’t know what kept me alive for those three years – perhaps it was a deep knowing that if I mastered this illness, and came out the other side, I would have a special gift to share with the world.
