He is also a well known internet content creator and BJJ affiliation creator. He has students all over the world and often travels to teach seminars in Europe and other parts of the world. In this episode, Brandon and I talk about his plan to get Jiu-Jitsu into the Olympics in 2028. Brandon has recently been contacted by United World Grappling and USA Grappling to help get Jiu-Jitsu into the Olympics through the official qualification process. Last year, Brandon's company the AGF hosted qualifying tournaments to send BJJ athletes to the United World Grappling championships in Kazakhstan. The hope is that if enough attention can be generated around the world championships, then we can get Jiu-Jitsu into the Olympics in 2028 by showing that there is a lot of interest in United World Grappling. For this to happen, we need to get behind the United World Grappling organization and support their world championships to show the Olympic committee that there is enough popular support around the world to support BJJ in the 2028 Olympics. Brandon also details the rules of the United World Grappling competitions and why the rules at the Olympic Games would not prevent other organizations (like ADCC or the IBJJF) from continuing to use their own rules sets.
