Nowadays, we tend to forget how special and unique we are when we rush to fit in with society's norm. We find ourselves with the desire to speak out, to be heard and accepted amongst others, but we don't know the right words to express ourselves. In today's episode, I'll be talking about the importance of growing your individual intelligence and how you can channel the purest part of yourself while belonging to a collective wisdom. From the recently celebrated International Women’s Day #BreakTheBias, I've noticed a lot of people raise awareness on the need to create equality for women by removing bias and discrimination in all parts of the world. We need to understand that sharing and retweeting posts without taking actions is not enough to make the necessary changes. In today’s episode, I’ll be talking about the importance of taking actions to make a bigger difference in the world. We need to have the emotional intelligence that allows us to accommodate others’ truths without undermining them. So in today’s episode, I’ll be sharing with you the different ways I live my truths in alignment with my mission, and how changemakers can create a peaceful space for everyone else to share their truths. Having doubts is part of the norms of every changemaker out there in the world. Doubt makes us ask ourselves questions that can shift our attention away from achieving the goals we’ve set out. In today’s episode, I’ll be discussing the importance of identifying the root of your doubts and why you need to address it. I’ll also be talking about the power of every voice in your head in situations where you need to make decisions for your life. Brita is an advocate and promoter of women's power, women's rights and equality. For more than 25 years, she promoted women's power, gender, equality and development with a range of national and international development and human rights institutions. She is an author, public speaker and transformational coach, co-founder of Women for Women International in Germany, and ambassador for Common Purpose and Mumble Forum. In this episode, we had a heartwarming conversation about turning fear into a superpower, connecting soul to soul with the people around us, the distinction between making a choice and being in choice, empowerment vs. in-powerment, and much more. We had a conversation about domestic abuse, the trauma it produces in people's lives, and what we can do to heal from it. Anna talked about her abusive marriage and how she got out of it. This week, as I was thinking about being present and what it really means, my mind travelled back to when I took the Master Certified Coach exam. The International Coaching Association, responsible for the exam, talks about five behavioural markers regarding presence, that I want to share with you today. We will explore the concepts of curiosity, partnership, powerful silence, and much more. What You Will Learn In This Episode: - What it means to be present with our employees, our kids, or our coachees - What it means to act in response to the whole person, and not only to who they are or what they say - How we can support the client to be the one who decides what happens in a coaching session - Why sometimes silence is more powerful than a coaching question Curiosity is an excellent tool in a coaching session, and it is a massive part of being present. But curiosity needs to be contextual, it needs to be based on active listening instead of just being curious. When we are genuinely curious about our clients, it will allow us to know them better, connect more deeply with them, and have a better grasp of their potentiality. Since we had a massive repercussion with last week's episode about being dangerous, we will build up on this neural-emotional-spiritual activation theme, and talk about quantum changemaking. Today, as I sat in the Goddess HQ, the back garden of my house, I came up with the idea of being dangerous. We’ll play with the idea of being as dangerous as holding a powerful, disruptive laser. We will explore the difference between using that laser recklessly, causing damage and pain, or using it with surgical precision, cutting out cancer and other impediments to well being.
