12: Pardon my woo: intuitive lessons with Courtney Thomas
📣 Welcome back to the Love Your Mondays podcast! This time I am sitting down with my soul sister and intuitive mindfulness coach Courtney Thomas — founder of The Bodhi Effect — to break down what intuition actually is, how to tell it apart from anxiety, and why "I should" might be the most business-damaging phrase in your vocabulary. Courtney shares how a car accident changed how she trusts her gut for good, and I get real about what it felt like finally listening to mine. This episode it’s a conversation about trusting yourself before the results show up to prove you right. We chat about: The difference between instinct and intuition — and the four "claires" (clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, claircognizance) How to tell a real intuitive hit from a fear-based or anxious thought How Courtney’s car accident at 17 changed the way she listens to her intuition Why "I should" is really your ego talking — and what to say instead How Courtney restructured her entire business into a 3-tier membership model Redefining what a "flopped" launch actually means Boundaries, burnout, and why you don't owe your audience constant availability Money, scarcity, and reframing your relationship with currency About Courtney Thomas Courtney Thomas is a mindfulness coach and the founder of The Bodhi Effect, offering intuitive coaching, mindfulness retreats, and workshops for individuals and companies alike. She thrives when supporting individuals and executive teams navigating high pressure environments, significant growth, and increased visibility. Based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, she brings over a decade of experience in nervous system regulation, emotional wellbeing, and mindful living, and her work has supported professional athletes, reality television personalities, actors, and corporate leaders seeking to stay grounded amid constant change. 10: Navigating Unemployment and Starting a Business During the Pandemic
Welcome, welcome back to another episode of The Love Your Mondays Podcast. In this episode, I’m bringing you two guests, two mini-interviews in one epic show. First, we are going to be chatting with my pal Tianna Grey; when we recorded this interview, she was between jobs. Maybe that is where you are currently, or maybe the fear of being in what we have labeled the void has kept you at a job that isn’t fulfilling you. Tianna has some great insight on what to do when you are in this space of unknown, and let’s be honest; we have all got a crash course in that this past year. The second story I am so excited to share is Ashely's, who is a nurse and who started a business during … well, during what was THE most stressful time in her nursing career.

She is the founder of Belle Revival, a place for you to find beautiful thrifted goods with a greater purpose. Give Tianna a follow Check out Belle Revival And on Instagram This week's community highlight is Rainbow Refugee: a community group that supports people seeking refugee protection in Canada because of persecution based on sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or HIV status. Make sure to check them out at or at @ If you would like to help this specific family, please donate here, and help Mo. Please rate and review this podcast! If you're not already following me, be sure to follow me at If you have any career or business questions that you would like to be answered either on this podcast or in private, be sure to stop by and send me a DM. 01: Looking at work as an experiment with Anita Cheung
In this first episode, I am talking to Anita Cheung, a freelance artist based in Vancouver, Canada. She works solely with traditional media, and her illustrations are influenced by whimsy and wonder. When she isn't illustrating, she is the principal of her creative studio- specializing in art direction, branding, and website design/development for small businesses. As an adult sometimes we are asked the question, what did you want to be when you grow up? Many things come to mind, such as doctors, teachers, veterinarians, and so on. The reality is though many of us aren't what we thought we would be as adults. This is the case with Anita. Growing up, Anita wanted to be an author. She loved everything that had to with books, and her favorite was Matilda. However, that idea of becoming an author started to change as she became an adult. Anita attended college, received her degree in global health and nutrition, planned on receiving her master's degree in public health, and worked for a non-profit soon after. Similar to many college students, Anita worked several different jobs during her college years. Still, her favorite was a studio manager position for a company called Barre Method, a boutique fitness studio. As part of being a studio manager, Anita learned the begin-the-scenes work of running a business, how to survive and thrive, and discovered the creativity that comes with running your own business. The plan of working for a non-profit organization was thrown out the window, and Anita decided to start her own business after finishing college. In today’s episode, were specifically covering: Starting her first meditation business Fear of others opinions The transition of letting go and moving on to something new Advice for people who want to start a business Monetizing your joy (should you or shouldn't you) Fear of making change Community and support that comes with entrepreneurship Lies and myths of entrepreneurship that need to go away Fears or obstacles that are preventing you from making a change The mentality of how hard can it be For being a loyal listener, I want to provide you $100 off my signature program, The Monday Method. A four-step system that will help you uncover your dream career. To take advantage of this amazing opportunity, be sure to go to and use code COFFEE100 and start uncovering your passion and purpose.
