Too Opinionated Interview: Nathan Spiteri and Norman Fried
If You Tell Anyone… is a Documentary written and produced by Norman Fried, PhD; Nathan Spiteri, and Dean Love. This film is based on the true-life story of Australian born author/actor Nathan Spiteri, adapted from his memoir Toy Cars; One Man’s Journey from Trauma to Triumph. Raped at the age of 8 years old by a man in a public locker room, Nathan endured five years of repeated abuse. His abuser kept him quiet by telling him… “If you tell anyone, I’ll kill you and I’ll kill your whole family.” As in all abusive relationships, Nathan was groomed and manipulated to believe that what was happening to him was his own fault. Nathan was unable to tell anyone about what had happened to him for 25 years. As a result, his adult life spiraled into addictions to alcohol, drugs and sex. He became suicidal before finally breaking down and telling someone what had happened to him. Nathan is now able to tell his story through the artistic structure of this documentary. The film explores the arch of transformation that young Nathan underwent as he discovered a more redemptive way of living and healing. Through real footage of trauma therapy sessions, Nathan and Dr. Norman Fried describe how healing from child sex abuse is possible. The goal of the film is to inspire other abuse victims to speak up and to get the help they need; while also helping parents and other caretakers recognize the dangers and symptoms of a child who may be being sexually abused. This is a powerful and cautionary story about the complexities of childhood trauma and its aftermath, starring Nathan Spiteri and Norman Fried, and directed by three-time Emmy Award winning documentary filmmaker Dean Love. Too Opinionated Interview: Rose Barroso
Today on Too Opinionated, we sit down with Author Rose Barroso! Rose Barroso has built an empire in two of the most male-dominated industries in the world—luxury real estate and custom home construction. Now, she’s breaking new ground as an author with her powerful debut memoir, Indestructible: Transforming Survival into Success, releasing January 2026 through Sutherland House Experts. Born in Portugal and raised in Toronto, Barroso’s story is not one of privilege or easy breaks. Abandoned by those meant to protect her and raised in a shattered family, she learned early that survival meant building walls around her heart, around her dreams, around her very sense of self. But walls couldn’t silence the echoes of self-doubt, fear, and rage that lingered long after the bruises faded. Indestructible rips the mask off a life built in defiance of deep trauma. With raw vulnerability and unapologetic strength, Barroso exposes the hidden scars of her childhood and reveals how pain shaped her, tested her, and ultimately forged her into a tenacious woman who conquered her inner demons—and the boardroom. This is more than a memoir. It’s a battle cry for anyone who’s ever been told they would amount to nothing. It’s a roadmap for women in spaces where they’re underestimated, overlooked, and undervalued. And its proof that healing doesn’t make you soft; it makes you unstoppable. Too Opinionated Interview: John LaDue
Today on Too Opinionated, we sit down with filmmaker John LaDue. After a successful run in Japan, filmmaker John LaDue’s latest feature documentary, Children of Yamato, has officially come to the United States via Amazon Prime. LaDue is excited to share this rare, introspective look at Japan’s post-war identity and the complex legacy of American reconstruction. The film challenges one of modern history’s most celebrated narratives; that the U.S. rebuilding of Japan was an unqualified democratic success. Instead, LaDue exposes the unseen costs of that transformation: a nation whose spiritual and cultural roots were severed in the process. Through evocative imagery and deeply researched storytelling, Children of Yamato traces the lingering impact of those policies across generations. The documentary follows LaDue as he embarks on a quest to rediscover the “heart of Japan,” unearthing what was lost in the pursuit of modernization. LaDue’s vision brings a fresh perspective as an American who was born in Hawaii, yet raised in Japan. Featuring interviews with scholars, Shinto priests, and Japanese citizens, the film offers an unflinching look at how Westernization reshaped Japan’s sense of self, leaving younger generations untethered from their origins. It’s a bilingual, visually poetic exploration of heritage, With Children of Yamato, LaDue expertly weaves personal narrative, historical investigation, and spiritual inquiry into a film that challenges viewers to reconsider how history shapes identity. Too Opinionated Interview: Daniel Masciari
Daniel V. Masciari is an award-winning filmmaker who unearths magic in seemingly mundane moments of the human experience. Daniel's passion for directing and editing runs through all his work, captivating critics with his first feature film, Stationed At Home. When it premiered internationally at the Glasgow Film Festival in March 2025, critics hailed it as "an alternative Christmas classic," with many echoing the sentiment that it "could well go down in the history of independent cinema." STATIONED AT HOME tells the story of a solitary taxi driver on the graveyard shift who, on a clear and frigid Christmas Eve in 1998 in a small, forgotten city, breathlessly awaits the sight of the International Space Station. As the hours count down, a parade of offbeat misfits derail his plans, propelling the story to its exhilarating climax. In this poetic, hilarious and often absurd tale, complete strangers discover unexpected unity and a newfound understanding of their place among the stars. “STATIONED AT HOME is made in the spirit of 70s and 80s independent films, with a raw and unfiltered approach that captures the essence of storytelling without compromise,” said filmmaker Daniel V. Masciari. “It is a personal and unique embrace of creative freedom, resulting in a truly uplifting, one-of-a-kind cinematic experience.” Stationed at Home Rotten Tomato link: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/stationed_at_home Want to watch: YouTube Meisterkhan Pod (Please Subscribe)

Too Opinionated Interview: Audrey Hyams Romoff
In The Ripple Eclipse: Turning the Tide of Inherited Trauma, Audrey Hyams Romoff masterfully navigates between two seemingly disparate worlds: the glamorous, high-stakes realm of celebrity public relations and her ongoing struggle to break free from the grip of inherited trauma. With unflinching candour, wit, and a veteran storyteller’s ear for dramatic moments, Hyams Romoff expands the lexicon of silent suffering, introducing a new way to describe how pain ripples across generations and obscures joy. For over thirty years, Hyams Romoff has been a fixture on Canada’s cultural landscape, running the renowned agency OverCat Communications and shaping the public image of A-list clients, including Lady Gaga, Sarah Jessica Parker, Katy Perry, , Isabella Rossellini, Timothy Olyphant, and Shania Twain. Audrey grew up in the shadow of silence—her mother and grandmother survived the Holocaust but never spoke of it. One of Auschwitz’s youngest survivors, her mother was emotionally unreachable. Her father became her lifeline. At forty-five, tragedy struck: her parents were found dead together in their garage. Her mother’s suicide was clear; her father’s death remains a mystery. From that darkness, she emerged with a vow: to confront the trauma that impacted four generations of women in her family. Audrey's titular metaphor, “ripple eclipse,” neatly captures how trauma, particularly one as profound as surviving Auschwitz, is not confined to the person who endures it. Instead, its impact ripples outward, affecting children, grandchildren, and generations beyond. Want to watch: YouTube Meisterkhan Pod (Please Subscribe)

Too Opinionated Interview: Miles Ekhardt
Miles Ekhardt is making his mark in Hollywood with his role in HBO’s supernatural horror series, “IT: Welcome to Derry.” Miles stars as Matty, a young runaway who flees his small-town cinema only to be picked up by a Portland-bound family of four, soon realizing that something far more sinister lurks beneath the surface. A prequel to the blockbuster It films of 2017 and 2019, the series expands on Stephen King’s iconic 1986 novel, diving deep into the origins of the terrifying Pennywise the Clown (reprised by Bill Skarsgård). Created by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs, “IT: Welcome to Derry” weaves together history, the supernatural, and psychological terror into a chilling exploration of fear and community. To prepare for “IT: Welcome to Derry,” Miles worked closely with his acting coach to explore the emotional layers of Matty, bringing authenticity and depth to the role. Too Opinionated Interview: Katelyn McCulloch
2025 marks a breakthrough year for Canadian comedy powerhouse Katelyn McCulloch, whose fearless approach to female-driven comedy has already earned her two Canadian Screen Award nominations and international acclaim. Now, she’s capping it off with two major milestones: the highly anticipated season two premiere of her Bell Fibe TV1 hit Everybody’s Meg on November 13th, and the return of Shenanigans on November 27th in Halifax at the Cineplex Park Lane (5657 Spring Garden Rd); a bold, joy-filled celebration of funny, feel-good, and female-driven film and television. With Everybody’s Meg, the Halifax-born creator has struck a rare chord with audiences: a comedy that’s sharp, heartfelt, and unafraid to lean into the messy, awkward truths of millennial life. As the founder of Hey Old Friend Productions, Katelyn has made it her mission to amplify women in comedy on and off stage. That mission comes to life with Shenanigans, the one-of-a-kind comedy showcase and screening series she launched in 2024. Unlike traditional festivals, Shenanigans is more than a screening, it’s a community celebration of female-driven comedy, wrapped in glamour, joy, and connection. On screen, her credits include Law & Order Toronto, Pretty Hard Cases, Hudson & Rex, Roll With It, Avocado Toast, and leading roles in films such as Meet the Killer Parents, Bystanders, and many more. Looking ahead, Katelyn is developing multiple half-hour comedy series, including one with Fiasco Global Media, preparing her first feature film, and making a return to the stage in 2026 as Margaret Cavendish in MAD MADGE at Neptune Theatre. Too Opinionated Interview: Reagan Elkins
Intellego Media proudly announces the VOD release of FRAGILÉ, a new documentary from filmmaker Reagan Elkins, debuting November 7th. Set in a small Oklahoma town with a big dream, FRAGILÉ follows one man’s outrageous (yet oddly inspiring) mission to revitalize his community by building a 50-foot-tall leg lamp in the middle of Main Street. What begins as a lighthearted bid to boost tourism quickly ignites controversy, turning the town into an unlikely battleground of art, identity, and small-town politics. From fiery city council meetings to viral headlines, accusations of objectification to a cease-and-desist letter from Warner Bros., FRAGILÉ captures the chaos, comedy, and community spirit that arise when good intentions meet cultural flashpoints. “FRAGILÉ is about more than a lamp. It’s about what happens when creativity and conflict collide in America’s heartland,” says director Reagan Elkins. “It’s a story that’s both absurd and deeply human. You’ll laugh, you’ll cringe, and you might even see your own hometown in the reflection.” A sharp and entertaining look at how one quirky idea can divide and unite a community all at once, FRAGILÉ illuminates the delicate balance between progress and tradition with humor and heart. FRAGILÉ Directed by Reagan Elkins Produced by Intellego Media Available on Video On Demand November 7, 2025Order here Want to watch: YouTube Meisterkhan Pod (Please Subscribe)
