Iran War: Is Tehran Betting Everything on the U.S. Midterms? 10/05/2026

Iran War: Is Tehran Betting Everything on the U.S. Midterms? Could the Iran War now hinge on the U.S. midterm elections? Tehran has taken its case directly to American voters as economic pressure, oil prices, and political unrest become weapons in the war. A 26-page open letter from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets American public opinion and urges voters to change the makeup of their government. In this episode of The P.A.S. Report Podcast, Professor Nick Giordano examines Iran’s strategy, the IRGC letter, the Strait of Hormuz, oil prices, America’s refinery weakness, and the military buildup that could make Tehran’s bet on November a dangerous miscalculation. Iran believes time can work in its favor. Economic pain inside the United States could weaken public support for the war, while Tehran hopes political pressure after the midterms will limit President Trump. But Iran faces a collapsing currency, severe economic strain, near-zero oil exports, and additional U.S. military power headed toward the region. What You’ll Learn in This Episode: Iran’s Midterm Pressure Campaign: What the IRGC’s 26-page letter reveals about Tehran’s effort to influence American public opinion and use the U.S. political calendar to its advantage. The Oil Price Mystery: Why Middle Eastern crude exports have returned near prewar levels while Brent crude, diesel, gasoline, and home heating costs remain painfully high. America’s Refinery Crisis: Why the United States has not built a major refinery with substantial downstream capacity since 1977, and how that weakness limits true energy independence. The Iran October Surprise: Could Tehran strike energy infrastructure, U.S. forces, cyber targets, or even the American homeland before Election Day, and could such an attack backfire? Trump After the Midterms: Why Article II powers, additional U.S. carrier groups, Iran’s economic crisis, and Trump’s legacy could create the opposite outcome Tehran expects. The Iran War no longer comes down only to missiles and military power. Iran needs American economic and political pressure to break Washington first. The United States needs Tehran’s economic position to collapse first. The question is simple: Who runs out of time first? The lesson for today: Why Jones’s resolve still matters when a plan collapses and defeat seems inevitable. Jones lost Bonhomme Richard, but he and his crew captured the warship that nearly destroyed her. His victory reminds us that a failed plan does not have to end the fight. Social Justice vs. Reality: The Destructive Leftist Mindset 09/28/2026

Social Justice vs. Reality: The Destructive Leftist Mindset Nikole Hannah-Jones admitted her school choice failed her daughter. Did social justice ideals take priority over parental duty, and what does that choice reveal about the leftist mindset? On this episode of The P.A.S. Report Podcast, Professor Nick Giordano argues that this decision exposes a dangerous moral inversion: people claim to serve a righteous cause while discarding the concrete duties owed to the real human beings right in front of them. He traces that pattern through the public praise for Luigi Mangione after Brian Thompson’s murder, the growing acceptance of physical force against campus speakers, and a survey exploring a hypothetical military coup against Donald Trump. Professor Giordano also examines remarks following the Lindsay Clancy mistrial, an aspiring politician who views American workers as expendable units of labor, and parents who publicly declare on social media that they regret having children. He asks the same critical question in each case: What happens to parental and civic duty when ideology, public validation, or personal comfort comes first? What You’ll Learn in This Episode: Why Hannah-Jones’s account raises an urgent question about social justice, virtue signaling, and a parent’s fundamental obligation to their child. How the reaction to Luigi Mangione elevates an ideological grievance above a murder victim. What attitudes toward campus violence and a hypothetical coup reveal about respect for free speech and constitutional order. Why the Clancy juror’s remarks and public expressions of parental regret point to a collapsing hierarchy of responsibility. How honoring ordinary duties to children, neighbors, and fellow citizens sustains a constitutional republic. The Culper Spy Ring: How Benjamin Tallmadge Became Washington’s Spymaster How did George Washington’s Culper Spy Ring outsmart the British Empire for five years without exposing its principal agents? Discover how Benjamin Tallmadge built an extraordinary Revolutionary War spy network and became Washington’s spymaster. In this episode of America’s Founding Series on The P.A.S. Report Podcast, Professor Nick Giordano reveals the true story of Major Benjamin Tallmadge, Nathan Hale’s close friend and the architect of the Culper network. Do Americans Actually Want Freedom? | Flock Cameras & Government Handouts Flock cameras promise public safety, but their vast data networks can expose far more than a license plate. From federal childcare subsidies to President Trump’s proposed $5,000 dividend checks, this episode asks whether Americans now trade liberty for the illusion of security. In this episode of The P.A.S. Report Podcast, Professor Nick Giordano challenges Republicans and Democrats alike. What You’ll Learn in This Episode: The Mosaic Threat: How Flock Safety cameras combine location records over time and reveal detailed travel patterns without a warrant. The Post-9/11 Lesson: What Americans surrendered after 9/11 and why emergency powers rarely disappear after each crisis ends. The Subsidized Living Room: How federal CCDF aid for stay-at-home parents could give bureaucrats greater power over family eligibility and household rules. The $21 Trillion Illusion: Why Trump’s $5,000 check proposal conflicts with fiscal conservatism, and why true surplus revenue should reduce the national debt rather than fund election-year checks. 89% Say Government Is Corrupt: So Why Do We Keep Giving Washington Power? 09/07/2026

89% Say Government Is Corrupt: So Why Do We Keep Giving Washington Power? A record 89% of Americans say government corruption is widespread, while congressional approval drops to an abysmal 10%. Yet when crisis strikes, voters demand more federal intervention, more spending, and more executive power. In this episode of The P.A.S. Report Podcast, Professor Nick Giordano exposes the greatest contradiction in modern American politics: Americans distrust the administrative state yet continually expand its authority. When citizens fail to understand the Constitution, separation of powers, federalism, and limited government, every constitutional restraint starts to look like an obstacle. Is Washington truly failing the American people, or does dysfunctional government simply reflect the public's unlimited appetite for federal action? What You’ll Learn In This Episode: The Corruption Paradox: Why 89% of Americans say government corruption is widespread while voters still demand more federal control. Partisan Constitutionalism: How outrage over executive overreach changes depending on which party controls the White House. The Purpose of Gridlock: Why a 10% congressional approval rating does not necessarily mean the system failed and why the Framers designed Congress to move slowly. The Abdication of Power: How Congress delegates broad authority to unelected agencies while lawmakers avoid difficult votes. Ted Cruz on Clarence Thomas, Socialism, and the Midterm Warning Republicans Can’t Ignore Ted Cruz joins The P.A.S. Report to reveal the untold story of Clarence Thomas and confront a provocative constitutional question: Can an elected official swear to support the Constitution while campaigning to dismantle its core institutions? Professor Nick Giordano sits down with Senator Ted Cruz to discuss his new book, Going Further: The Incomparable Clarence Thomas, based on more than nine hours of exclusive interviews with Justice Thomas. Cruz traces Thomas's extraordinary rise from poverty in segregated Georgia to the Supreme Court and explains why his commitment to originalism, judicial restraint, and constitutional government has reshaped American law. Senator Cruz also sounds the alarm over Supreme Court expansion, the rise of Democratic Socialism, proposals to dismantle America's checks and balances, and the meaning of the constitutional oath of office. Plus, Cruz delivers a stark warning about the 2026 midterms, why Republicans could lose both the House and Senate, and why opposing socialism alone will not give voters enough reason to turn out. Originalism and the Supreme Court: Why Thomas places the Constitution above flawed precedent and why Cruz argues Supreme Court expansion threatens judicial independence. Back to School: America’s Civic Education Crisis 08/31/2026

Back to School: America’s Civic Education Crisis Ninety-five percent of college students failed a basic ten-question U.S. citizenship exam, with most able to answer only one to three questions correctly. America’s civic education crisis is no longer something we can ignore. In this episode of The P.A.S. Report Podcast, Professor Nick Giordano exposes how civic illiteracy threatens the constitutional republic and the future of self-government. He traces the civic education crisis from No Child Left Behind and credentialism to ideological activism in the classroom, then connects civic ignorance to declining national pride, growing support for socialism, and a generation increasingly willing to discard constitutional safeguards it was never taught to understand. Most importantly, Professor Giordano lays out a concrete blueprint for a civic revival rooted in stronger K-12 civics requirements, parental accountability, local communities, and civil society. What You’ll Learn In This Episode: The 95% Failure Rate: What sixteen years of citizenship-test results reveal about the collapse of civic literacy in America The Founders’ Vision for Education: Why John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Benjamin Rush, Noah Webster, and Horace Mann viewed education as essential to liberty, citizenship, and self-government How Civics Lost Ground: How standardized testing, credentialism, weak civic instruction, and ideological activism displaced American history, government, and constitutional knowledge Why Civic Ignorance Is Dangerous: How a lack of constitutional literacy makes socialism, centralized power, and the dismantling of checks and balances sound more attractive A Blueprint for a Civic Revival: Three concrete reforms built around civic graduation requirements, parental oversight, and renewed civic education through churches, local associations, and community organizations 📝 Take the Citizenship Quiz: Visit and test yourself with the same ten-question civics exam given to incoming college students. Discover the forgotten American Revolution story of Hugh Mercer and how his extraordinary second chance reveals something fundamental about America itself. In this episode of America’s Founding Series on The P.A.S. Report Podcast, Professor Nick Giordano uncovers the remarkable story of General Hugh Mercer. What You’ll Learn In This Episode: The Fugitive Physician: How Hugh Mercer survived the Battle of Culloden in 1746, escaped the British crackdown on Jacobite rebels, and found a second chance in colonial Pennsylvania. The Crucible of Reinvention: How Mercer rebuilt his life as a physician, earned the respect of his community, served in the French and Indian War, and developed a close relationship with George Washington. The Ultimate Gamble of 1776: Why a 50-year-old doctor who had already survived one failed rebellion chose to risk his family, fortune, and life on the American Revolution. The Stand at William Clarke’s Orchard: What happened at the Battle of Princeton when British troops surrounded Mercer, reportedly mistook him for Washington, and left him mortally wounded after he refused to surrender. The Lesson for Today: Why the American story is not about perfection, but redemption, and why America must preserve the belief that failure, background, and past mistakes do not have to dictate a person’s future. Hugh Mercer never lived to see American independence. He never saw the Constitution, George Washington become president, or the republic his sacrifice helped create. Yet his life captures something essential about the American experiment: America does not require perfect people. It offers people the opportunity to rise, rebuild, and redeem themselves. Why Republicans Could Lose the 2026 Midterm Elections 08/17/2026

Why Republicans Could Lose the 2026 Midterm Elections Republicans won unified control in Washington, but they are walking straight into a brutal 2026 midterm election trap. Historical precedent, broken promises, economic anxiety, the Iran war, and the absence of an affirmative conservative agenda could cost the GOP its House majority. President Trump secured the border and Republicans preserved key tax cuts, but they have failed to enact durable reforms of the federal bureaucracy, restrain $7.4 trillion in federal outlays, or force decisive votes on election integrity. This episode explains why Republican voter apathy presents a greater threat than Democratic enthusiasm and what the GOP must accomplish before November. What You’ll Learn in This Episode: Why historical midterm trends and narrow House margins place the Republican majority at risk How the Iran war, energy costs, and economic anxiety could weaken Republican turnout Why firing a few dozen federal employees and holding hearings does nothing to stop the administrative state without permanent statutory reform. Hammer, author of Israel and Civilization, host of The Josh Hammer Show, and senior counsel at the Article III Project, explains why proposals to abolish the Senate, weaken the courts, and eliminate constitutional safeguards raise serious questions about the oath under 5 U.S.C. § 3331. The conversation also explores the collapse of civic education, the difference between constitutional reform and constitutional subversion, the Islamist-Marxist alliance, and the political divide over Israel. What You’ll Learn in This Episode: Why the DSA agenda threatens separation of powers and constitutional government Whether officials can reject the Constitution’s structure yet swear to defend it Where legitimate constitutional reform ends and constitutional subversion begins How poor civic education leaves Americans unable to recognize constitutional threats Why opposition to Israel now spans the progressive left and parts of the populist right 📲 Get the facts the establishment ignores. What Would a Socialist America Actually Look Like? 08/10/2026

What Would a Socialist America Actually Look Like? Most people think that socialism will come to America suddenly through either a violent revolution or in some other dramatic fashion, but what if Americans simply voted for it one entitlement, one regulation, and one government guarantee at a time? In this episode of The P.A.S. Report Podcast, Professor Nick Giordano takes the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) platform at its word and follows democratic socialism to its logical conclusion. From rent control, social housing, and single-payer healthcare to public ownership of major industries and a new constitutional system, this episode examines how socialist policies could transform private property, the economy, individual freedom, and the relationship between American citizens and government. What You’ll Learn In This Episode: The Road to Socialist America: How democratic socialism could advance through incremental policies, government guarantees, and greater dependency without a violent revolution Private Property and the Housing Crisis: How rent controls, government housing policies, and restrictions on landlords could weaken private property rights while driving greater government control of housing Healthcare, Redistribution, and Government Dependency: Why single-payer healthcare and wealth redistribution could expand bureaucratic power without eliminating inequality Nationalization and the American Economy: What DSA proposals for public ownership of major corporations and essential industries could mean for investment, innovation, economic growth, and prosperity The Constitution and a Democratic Socialist Republic: Why the DSA calls for a new constitution, abolition of the Senate, and fundamental changes to the presidency, Supreme Court, federalism, separation of powers, and checks and balances Episode Chapters 00:00 – What Would a Socialist America Actually Look Like? 03:20 – The Democratic Socialist Platform: Government Control From Cradle to Grave 13:00 – How Socialism Takes Hold: The Incremental Path to Government Dependency 20:18 – Socialist Control of Housing, Healthcare, and the Economy 25:44 – From Private Property to Government Control of American Industry 36:52 – How Socialism Dismantles the Constitution and Checks and Balances 43:12 – The Socialist Endgame—and How Americans Can Stop It 📲 Support the Show: Follow The P.A.S. Fauci Pleads the Fifth, RFK Media Takedown, and the Death of a Free Press 08/06/2026

Fauci Pleads the Fifth, RFK Media Takedown, and the Death of a Free Press Anthony Fauci pleads the Fifth more than 100 times, raising one unavoidable question: Why won't the media ask the questions every American should ask? RFK Jr.'s confrontation with CNN exposed far more than a disagreement over COVID. Together, these moments reveal a deeper crisis: the death of a press that once held government accountable. Anthony Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times after receiving one of the broadest presidential pardons in modern history, yet much of the legacy media showed little interest in examining the constitutional, legal, and political implications. At the same time, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s exchange with Dana Bash exposed how many journalists now defend government authority instead of challenging it. This episode goes far beyond COVID. It examines what happens when the media, bureaucracy, politicians, and powerful institutions stop holding one another accountable. Professor Nick Giordano breaks down the constitutional questions surrounding Fauci's testimony, the media's role during the pandemic, the collapse of journalistic skepticism, and why every American - Republican, Democrat, and Independent alike - must demand accountability before the next national emergency. What You'll Learn In This Episode: Why Anthony Fauci's Fifth Amendment testimony raises major constitutional and legal questions. How RFK Jr.'s CNN interview challenged the media's COVID narrative and exposed the collapse of journalistic skepticism. Why emergency powers, censorship, and bureaucratic overreach threaten constitutional government and individual liberty. How the media, bureaucracy, politicians, and Big Tech reinforced one another instead of holding each other accountable. What concrete reforms can restore constitutional guardrails, government accountability, and a truly independent press. If you care about the Constitution, freedom of the press, government accountability, and the future of self-government, this episode is for you.
