Jonathan Schwartz – The Effect of Silent Trauma

Jonathan Schwartz – The Effect of Silent Trauma
Jonathan Todd Schwartz, once a towering figure in Hollywood's elite financial circles, lived a life that many could only dream of. As a power entertainment business manager at GSO Business Management, Schwartz was entrusted with managing the wealth of some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Alanis Morissette, Linkin Park, Halsey, and Gwyneth Paltrow. His reputation as one of Hollywood's most "trusted" financial advisors earned him the moniker "diva whisperer," reflecting his ability to cater to the unique needs of his high-profile clients. However, beneath the surface of this seemingly perfect life, Schwartz was hiding a dark secret. Consumed by a monstrous drug habit and an uncontrollable gambling addiction, Schwartz began to embezzle millions from his clients to fund his destructive lifestyle. His double life was a carefully constructed house of cards, built on lies and deceit, which ultimately came crashing down in 2016 when Alanis Morissette discovered that Schwartz had stolen over $4.7 million from her accounts. The fallout was swift and brutal. Schwartz's crimes were exposed, leading to his arrest and subsequent conviction. The once-celebrated financial guru was now a disgraced criminal, reviled by the very industry that had once revered him. His actions not only ruined his own life but also brought significant financial losses and reputational damage to GSO Business Management. But Schwartz's story doesn't end with his fall from grace. Since his release from prison in 2020, Schwartz has embarked on a journey of redemption. Sober and a co-chair of his local Gamblers' Anonymous, he is determined to make amends for his past wrongdoings. Schwartz is now dedicated to proving that he is no longer the "defrauding monster" he once was, and is desperate to clear his name, particularly with his ex-wife and children, who continue to harbor doubts about his sincerity. Schwartz's life is a tale of extremes— from the heights of Hollywood success to the depths of criminal infamy. It raises the question: Can Jonathan truly change, or is this just another act in a long-running con? Schwartz's story is a compelling exploration of human nature, redemption, and the thin line between good and evil. In his own words, Schwartz acknowledges his flaws and the damage he has caused, but he remains committed to telling his story, hoping that it will serve as a cautionary tale for others and perhaps, one day, lead to his own redemption. His story is a modern-day parable, echoing the themes of the latest viral scammer tales like Inventing Anna, Tinder Swindler, and Bad Vegan—a once-in-a-lifetime narrative that promises to captivate and dominate public consciousness. Paul Voss – Raising Two Neurodiverse Children
Paul Voss is a father of eight children. In 2022, our youngest daughter was diagnosed with autism. Like many families, we were thrust into a world of sleepless nights, constant stress, and the feeling that we were doing everything right yet getting nowhere. There were long stretches when sleep felt impossible, hope felt thin, and the future felt overwhelming. Out of that chaos, Paul wrote my first book, Autism Sucks: Finding Hope in the Chaos. He didn’t write it as an expert or clinician. Rather, he wrote it as a tired dad seeking real solutions. One of his greatest goals was simple: if anything we did could help just one parent finally get six hours of uninterrupted sleep, every hard moment would be worth it. Beyond sleep, he shares how his family’s autism journey reshaped them. The changes they made didn’t just help their autistic child. The awareness unexpectedly helped their other kids, too. Their oldest son, who was diagnosed with ADHD, was possibly the most positively affected. What surprised the family most was that autism didn’t just change their child; it changed their family. It forced them to become more patient, present, and intentional parents. As hard as this road has been, it has ultimately made his family better. Paul speaks to parents new to autism who are overwhelmed, exhausted, or quietly struggling in dark moments. His message is honest, practical, and hopeful. While autism is incredibly hard, it doesn’t have to steal a family’s future.

Jim Anderson – Losing a Business
Jim Anderson recovered from losing a very profitable information technology business he had started. Through his business failure, he also lost his wife and business partner. That was because he now realizes his business was profitable on paper, but only in the short term. He was unaware of what negative cash flow was, which led to his business's collapse. However, Do you want to know if your business is as stable as it seems on paper? If the market changes tomorrow, would your company be ready? Most founder-led, privately held businesses earning between $500k and $20M are profitable, but cash flow issues persist. You’re responsible for payroll, for families, and for long-term survival. Yet, no one ever trained you to understand the financial story your business is telling. Jim understands that burden well. He has built and led a national company through rapid growth, cash flow challenges, market fluctuations, and the tough lessons when revenue exceeds stability. He has also worked with privately held business owners who were profitable but quietly uncertain. What he has learned from his business experience is that profit measures performance. Cash determines survival. Over the past 30+ years, Jim has helped founder-led businesses uncover the deeper story hidden in their numbers — the patterns, risks, and opportunities often overlooked — and turn that insight into disciplined cash management and long-term resilience. The most common challenges he has identified include: revenue growth masking fragile cash flow, businesses overly dependent on the owner, lack of a clear framework for understanding what’s actually working, growth limited by the “cash Catch-22,” and leaders experiencing more stress than they admit. Jim shares his past business failures as lessons learned. He admits he gained knowledge from his previous ventures without blaming those experiences. Instead, he has benefited from them and now partners with other entrepreneurs to help them avoid his mistakes. You can learn more about Jim and his business at .

Michelle Choairy Episode 3 – My Complex Kid
Michelle Choairy is the mother to her “complex kid.” Since his birth, she navigated her way around developmental delays such as autism, ADHD, and special education services, along with other life happenings. Michelle devoted nearly 10 years to searching for a way to help her son through his developmental issues. He is now diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called TBR1, which only 170 kids worldwide are known to have. TBR1, or T-box brain transcription factor 1, is a crucial protein in brain development, particularly in the cortex and olfactory bulb. It acts as a transcription factor, meaning it regulates the expression of other genes by binding to DNA. TBR1 plays a vital role in neuronal migration, axonal projection, and the establishment of laminar and areal identity within the brain. Mutations in the TBR1 gene have been linked to neuro-developmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual disability. Michelle shares her journey through this process and how she can help other moms on a learning journey to gain clarity, advance their children, and save time by reducing the need to visit doctors and therapists. Michelle is her son’s best advocate. She describes the acronym THRIVE and its application to raising a “complex” child. She has learned through the years what is required to get the best care for her son. She founded Collective Wisdom for Complex Kids, a support group for mothers with children with disabilities. She is passionate about working with families to help them reevaluate and prioritize their dynamics, guiding them from confusion to clarity as they raise complex children. Barb Nangle – Masking my past
Barb Nangle is a boundaries coach, speaker, author, and podcaster. After nearly 40 years of therapy and personal development, Barb found her way to 12-step recovery at age 52. What began as a journey to address codependence soon expanded to include recovery from intergenerational dysfunction, childhood trauma, and compulsive overeating—issues she hadn’t initially recognized in herself, and decades of personal development had merely scratched the surface. Recovery melted the iceberg of her life. Because codependency was her core wound, learning to set healthy boundaries transformed her at every level—her relationship with herself, with others, and with the world around her. The ripple effect of these changes even reached her professional life, profoundly affecting her team at Yale University, where she worked at the time. Before recovery, she was acutely aware of her history of unhealthy, unsatisfying romantic relationships. She also struggled with years of substance use and overeating, carrying over 100 pounds more than she does now. Despite these struggles, she maintained an outward appearance of having it all together. She once believed she was a positive, optimistic person. Recovery revealed the truth: she was trapped in negativity and fear. She ruminated about the past, catastrophized about the future, complained frequently, engaged in "if only" thinking, and blamed others for her difficulties. She was terrified of judgment, rejection, abandonment, and being seen as a bad person. She didn’t realize how deeply these patterns affected her until they began to change. Combining her life experience and education has shaped her purpose: to help professional women stop saying yes when they mean no and to end the cycle of self-neglect by reclaiming their focus and power. She achieves this through her boundary-setting coaching, professional speaking engagements, and her podcast, “.” You can learn more about Barb Nangle at and .

Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds – Physical Fitness and Personal Health
Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds completed one of the world's most grueling athletic challenges—Ironman Florida—feeling invincible. Six months later, he received a cancer diagnosis via text while stopped at a traffic light. Then, just as he beat that cancer, he was diagnosed with a second, more aggressive one. The same mental training that got him through 140.6-mile races became his survival toolkit for beating cancer twice. Authentic vulnerability is the "unsexy" side of both endurance sports and cancer—the moments when you're broken down and have to rebuild yourself. Dr. Reynolds defines resilience strategies as specific athletic mental-training techniques that anyone can use when unexpected challenges arise. Breaking masculine stereotypes: How learning to be vulnerable actually made me stronger, not weaker. Purpose from pain: Cancer forced him to write the book he had been internalizing for years, turning his trauma into a message of hope for others. He is not just another "cancer survivor"—he is someone who discovered that the same grit that pushes you through mile 20 of a marathon carries you through chemotherapy. The finish line isn't about beating the disease; it's about becoming the person you were meant to be. His book "Every Mile Matters," published in August 20258, is an Amazon bestseller, but more importantly, he is passionate about helping people understand that our darkest moments often contain our greatest opportunities for growth. Dr. Reynolds discusses how we can all learn to rally when life throws us into the race we never signed up for. Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds, a two-time cancer survivor, Ironman triathlete, and author of "Every Mile Matters," also operates a nonprofit organization that serves 35,000+ people annually. Dr. Christopher Scott Wyatt Episode 3 – Understanding Impulsivity and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders with Neurodiverse People
Dr. Christopher Scott Wyatt is an autistic self-advocate and father of two neurodiverse daughters. He earned a doctorate researching online education and writing instruction for students with autism spectrum disorders. His experiences living with physical and neurological differences shape his parenting. Dr. Scott consults with schools, businesses, and non-profit organizations on issues of autism, neurodiversity, and active inclusion. Parenting Neurodiverse children — those with ADHD, autism, sensory processing issues, and learning disabilities — presents challenges. As a diagnosed autistic person with ADHD and physical disabilities, Dr. Scott brings his experiences as a parent, researcher, educator, and Neurodiversity self-advocacy to an audience. He and his wife chose to be parents, fostering and then adopting two daughters. Audiences ask why an autistic person would want to be a father. Dr. Scott’s experiences and academic credentials empower him to advocate for their daughters in a school system that too often fails to provide reasonable support. Even well-intentioned parents, teachers, and researchers don't always understand what Neurodiverse minds and bodies experience. As a speaker with more than 150 regional and national appearances and 15 years of consulting experience, Dr. Scott discusses autism, parenting, and education from the autistic perspective. The Autistic Me blog was launched in January 2007 when he began working for others with special needs. He completed his doctoral studies in 2010 at the University of Minnesota. While a doctoral student, he conducted two grant-funded research projects on autism and instructional technology. He publishes in academic journals, co-edited a scholarly collection, and has presented numerous conference papers. Reflecting his passion for digital media, he completed a Master of Fine Arts in film and digital technology, a Master of Arts in English composition theory and rhetoric, and undergraduate degrees in English and journalism. Micah Marshall Episode 1 – Let's Change Autism Together!
Nothing made sense in Micah Marshall’s life until he discovered he was on the spectrum when he was 22 years old. You might relate to that if you have been diagnosed late as well. Several tests were done when he was three due to some behavioral symptoms without explanation. Micah’s mission is to help everyone know they are deeply valued and discover their potential through personal growth and success! For Micah, autism isn't a different way of seeing the world: it's a marring of the human brain and psyche that produces a traumatized life experience. There are many good things we, people on the spectrum, can still pull out of our experiences. In this context, disability is only a mindset. Micah formerly owned and operated Marshall Health Insurance to help anyone and everyone find the right coverage. He dissolved that business because of reaching burnout. As a John Maxwell Certified Team Member, he speaks to autism professionals, parents with kids on the spectrum, and business leaders across the United States. He is writing the book Growing on the Spectrum, which is projected to be released in August 2025. It will be the first-ever personal growth book for kids and adults on the spectrum! The book will include topics on neurodiversity, faith, personal growth, and mental health. Micah also blogs regularly about neurodiversity, positive attitudes, and mental health. He is a pioneer for personal growth and success for those on the spectrum. You can learn more about Micah at

Michelle Choairy Episode 2 - THRIVE

Michelle Choairy Episode 2 - THRIVE
TBR1 plays a vital role in neuronal migration, axonal projection, and establishing laminar and areal identity within the brain. She is passionate about working with families to help them reevaluate and prioritize their dynamics, guiding them from confusion to clarity while raising complex children.
