With the new Superman footage and cast list being leaked and revealed little by little, we thought it a good time to visit and revisit The Justice League, and a little "See This / Not That". #XLessDrEarl is on assignment in Zamunda, so we invite in a Podcast Legend, the Podfather of Geek Out Loud - the one and only Steve Glosson. Glosson, Mikey, and d$ do a little catch up here and there, then discuss the actors and actresses from the Justice League - Henry Cavill, Willem Dafoe, Gal Gadot, Jeremy Irons, Benaffleck, and more -- all with suggestions and our takes on their movies you should see (Arrival! The Town! Dune!) and movies you should totally skip (Heart of Stone... Eragon... Argylle...) Plus a great chat on Marvel and Disney and all the things.

Episode 672: The Gene Hackman Top 10
Tis a sad fact that we all must face at some point - our Hollywood legends have begun to fall. It was easy to take the deaths of Cary Grant or Bing Crosby or Natalie Wood as we barely knew them as celebrities, only the movies they gave us to entertain us. But it is a sad fact that time is undefeated, and names like Hoffman, Eastwood, Pacino, Streep, Hanks, DeNiro, those celebrities we've watched in their primes and beyond, will become names of the past... thus, Gene Hackman has moved to that hallowed ground. With reverence and love, Mikey, d$, and #XLessDrEarl take a look at the entire filmography of one Mr Hackman, and listing off their own personal favorite roles - all to come up with a definitive Top 10 of Gene's movies. Along the way, they try to define the generation of movie stars in the 70s and 80s (New Hollywood?), plus give quick reviews of new films "Novocaine" and "Black Bag".

In a world full of Oscar winners, there is also a large population of worthy performers who never had their own Academy Award moments. Whether being nominated one time, or seven times, or no times, nary a winning ballot with their name on it. Mikey, d$, and #XLessDrEarl invite in Miss Independent himself, Jeremy Burgeydoodle, to discuss twenty four dudes and twenty three dames, all with bodies of excellent work. Actors from Ed Harris in "The Right Stuff" to Michael B Jordan's "Fruitvale Station" to d$'s girlfriend Amy Adams in "American Hustle" to Margot Robbie in... well, something good. Idris! Harrison! ScarJo! Mia! And so many more great thespians, all with one question - "Why don't they have an Oscar yet?", and tonight, we find out who truly defines that question. Plus, the 8th Annual Burgentine's Day commences, as Jeremy discusses his assigned films - "About Time", "Some Kind of Wonderful", "Notting Hill", "She's the One", and "A Single Man"... who wins and who falls to the bottom this year?

Then, a list of films featuring the Big Guy Upstairs, Ol' No Shoulders down below, a few angels, a few demons and more. From Bill and Ted to Swayze to Albert Brooks to some Pixar Dr. Earl has never seen, it's a fun list. A blessed list, we hope. Thoughts and prayers. Has to be blessed with Malick, right? Right? Its the NOT 2024 Top Ten, where we highlight films worthy of a second discussion because they just impacted us so much. And for the 3rd year running on this particular episode, Dave, Mikey, and #TwitterlessDrEarl welcome in Friend of the Show, streaming live from the freezing metropolis somewhere in Bainbridge, Wyoming, that is one Jacob "Roth from Wyoming." Together, the foursome discuss their top ten faves of the year from all over the place, as far back as the early 20s and 30s to all the way through the 60s and 70s and in 2010s and 2020s... assigned movies come into play as films others were asked to watch appear in various Top Tens, while Burgess recommended movies keep coming up as well. Mikey is loving some old Gena Rowland and Walter Matthau as an action star, while #XLessDrEarl digs into more music docs, Dave revisits a Hallmark fave, and Roth finally sets sail on the ship of dreams. Plus, why did Green Book get so much hate, Eastwood represents (even if he is a d-bag of a romantic partner) and Powers Boothe makes another list. Also... With a little nod to All Hallow's Eve, the guys at the Deucecast are here to celebrate some of the best in suspense and horror and creepy movies, with the first ever Horror Movie Draft. #XLessDrEarl was called away to a patient found in a bathtub of ice with no kidneys and is doing the proper surgery now -- but stepping into the pretentious spot, Miss Independent himself, the Burgerler, Jeremy Burgess. The rules are simple... after playing a quick Box Office Mojo game, in a snake style draft, the guys select horror and scary movies from across Hollywood's years, filling out a list that will ultimately get a movie from the 1960s or previous... the 70s... the 80s... the 90s... the 2000s... the 2010s... and 2020 until current date. Some are pretty easy to pick, others take some strategy, but overall, Mikey, d$, and Burgess are all asking you to vote THEIR Lineup the best of all -- so make sure you cast your vote either in the Discord or on @TheDeucecast on X.com! And at the end of the show, Mikey pays off his annual venture into scary movies, MikeTober, plus a rundown on the streaming status of "Don't Die"
