How to be Emotionally Resilient During Fertility Treatment with guest Abbe Feder of Incircle Fertility
"Is it possible to become emotionally resilient, so that you can handle all of the things that you face as a fertility patient without feeling overwhelmed and triggered constantly?" I get this question all. the. time, and today I'm excited to have Abbe Feder of Incircle Fertility on to share tips, tricks, and mindset shifts with us! Tip 1: Be kind to yourself, and know that things like baby announcements, or nosy questions from family members are triggering to many fertility patients. That doesn't make it easier, but it might help to know you're not alone in the feelings. Some of these triggers can come from unexpected places. Tip 2: To work through triggers: talk about the trigger, acknowledge the trigger, become aware of what triggers you, and then "figure out what works best for you to get past the trigger" when they do come up. Tip 3: Allow yourself to feel your emotions. Don't push them aside. Find a trusted friend, family member, spouse, partner or coach to help you. They don't have to understand what you're going through, the key is that they are able to listen to you and let you talk. Abbe Feder is a fertility coach and the founder and CEO of InCircle Fertility. She and her husband host the podcast Maculate Conception, and she is the creator of the (In)Fertility Cards of Affirmation. We had the pleasure of meeting at a panel with ertility Rally and I could not be more excited to have her on the show to talk about how to be emotionally resilient during fertility treatment. Today, we're talking about what it means to be a fertility coach, how to find support for your journey, and how to develop more resiliency when facing the ups and downs of being a fertility patient. You can find Abbe's site for InCircle Fertility here: The next live class call is on Monday, August 17th at 4pm PST, where Dr. Aimee will explain IVF and there will be time to ask her your questions live on Zoom. In this episode, you'll learn the questions to ask, when to start looking for an OB-GYN, how to advocate for yourself throughout pregnancy, and what makes pregnancy care different for IVF patients. In this episode, I'm joined by one my favorite OB-GYNs, Dr. Justin Thompson, to talk about his journey into obstetrics and what every patient should know before choosing the doctor who will care for them during pregnancy and delivery. Justin and I dig into what it really takes to find the right obstetrician (spoiler: don't wait until you're pregnant!), how he creates a safe and positive birth experience, the unique considerations for patients who conceived through IVF, and why patient experience should be a bigger priority in healthcare. We also discuss physician burnout, the future of obstetrics, and practical ways to advocate for yourself and your growing family. If you're planning a pregnancy, going through IVF, or simply want to make informed decisions about your pregnancy care, this episode is packed with practical advice. ✅️In this episode, we cover: - Why you should start looking for an OB-GYN before you're even pregnant - Questions to ask when interviewing potential obstetricians - Why "meet and greet" appointments have disappeared and how to get one anyway - How Dr. Thompson limits his patient load to provide better care - What makes a birth experience safe, positive, and low-stress for both mom and baby - The "Sparkle checklist" and other ways patients can advocate for themselves - Special considerations for IVF pregnancies vs. non-IVF pregnancies - The future of obstetrics and why patient experience needs to be prioritized 🎯Resources Dr. Justin Thompson's practice: dedicatedpregnancycare.com Subscribe on or (my next class call is on July 13, where you can ask me your IVF and fertility questions live on Zoom.) where you can also Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh is one of America’s most well known fertility doctors. Here are few key items she shares: For yourself: Find compassion for yourself throughout treatment If partnered: Looking to your partner and acknowledging their feelings about the journey With friends: Let them know what you need while also honoring what you need With Co-workers: Let them know you're having "medical problems" and don't feel you have to share everything. How to Survive Your HSG Procedure

How to Survive Your HSG Procedure
This episode is all about how to survive your HSG. Otherwise known as a hysterosalpingogram. That’s a big scary word so let’s break it down! Hystero = uterus Salpingo = tube Gram = picture of Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is basically a picture of your fallopian tubes. I like to think of the fallopian tube as the embryo transport system. It’s where the egg and sperm come together and it’s how the embryo will travel to the uterus. Part of fertility screening is not just for FSH, estradiol, and AMH for women. It’s not just to see how fast the swimmers are swimming. It’s also important to make sure that the fallopian tubes are open! It’s the “T” in the tushymethod.com In today's episode of The Egg Whisperer Show, I'm talking more about HSG. Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh is one of America’s most well known fertility doctors. 5 Novel Treatments for PMOS (PCOS)
PCOS stands for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, and it was recently renamed to PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome). With the old name, many people interpretted it to mean you have big cysts on your ovaries, but that's not true at all. When I heard PCOS, I think of it as a call to, "Please Confirm this Ovary Syndrome”. So much is misunderstood about PCOS! Women are often told, “oh you don’t need to worry about it until you’re ready to have babies.” That could not be further from the truth. Today on the podcast, I'm talking about 5 novel treatments for PCOS. Would you like to learn more about IVF? Rapamycin is changing what's possible in fertility treatment, and in this episode, I'm breaking down exactly how. Originally discovered in the soil of Easter Island and long used by the longevity community to extend healthspan, rapamycin is now showing real promise for improving egg quality, increasing blastocyst formation rates, and helping women over 40 (even over 45) get pregnant. Joining me is Dr. Steve Palter, founder and medical and scientific director of Gold Coast IVF in Woodbury, New York. We cover the science of how it works at the cellular level, the landmark placebo-controlled trial out of China that gave us published data for the first time, my own case series accepted to PCRS, and how I'm now using Rapamycin for egg freezing patients, not just last-resort IVF cases. We also get discuss the Vibrant Trial on ovarian aging, dosing protocols, and why resistance training and protein intake matter for fertility and longevity.
