July is Disability Pride Month
As July comes to a close, we want to celebrate Disability Pride Month. July 26 marks the anniversary of the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA.) The ADA passed on July 26, 1990 which provided protections against discrimination toward people with disabilities. This includes employment with employers that have at least 15 employees, state and local government services, businesses that are open to the public, and other areas. According to Wikipedia, 15% of the world's population has a disability. On this episode Dusty visits with Angie Bosch, Executive Director at Freedom Resource Center for Independent Living, Justin Gustofson, Commercial Sales and Leasing at Property Resources Group and Tammy DeSautel, Employment Advisor-Team Lead at Job Service North Dakota Fargo Workforce Center. Grab a cup of coffee, relax and learn more about Disability Pride Month and how everyone can benefit by embracing Disability Pride all year long.
