Editor - Brian Philip Davis Hokum editor Brian Philip Davis teams up once more with director Damian McCarthy. Prior to this film the two joined forces to craft McCarthy's supernatural thriller, Oddity. Editor - Nena Erb ACE and Asst. Editor Gioia Caruso Wonder Man editor Nena Erb and her assistant Gioia Caruso first worked together on the R-rated road trip comedy, Joy Ride. A film that could not be more different than the grounded, character driven tv series, Wonder Man. Heated Rivalry

Heated Rivalry
Editors - Arthur Tarnowski ACE, CCE and Véronique Barbe CCE After years of working in different cutting rooms across Montreal, Heated Rivalry editors Arthur Tarnowski and Véronique Barbe are finally skating on the same line for showrunner Jacob Tierney. But bringing the “spicy” subject matter of Rachel Reid's book series to tv audiences would be no small feat. It required the editors to find the right balance of tension, chemistry and character within and around the steamy sexual encounters of the shows main characters. Heated Rivalry follows the lives of two budding hockey superstars, Canadian Shane Hollander and Russian Ilya Rozanov. Before becoming pro hockey players, the two meet as competitors at an international hockey competition. Six months later they would be drafted by two rival teams, the Montreal Metros and the Boston Raiders. Although their on-ice rivalry is amplified by media coverage and public perception, the two develop a private, initially casual sexual relationship that continues intermittently over several years as they pursue their hockey careers. Keeping this relationship hidden from the world is a challenge greater than either would ever have on the ice. ARTHUR TARNOWSKI ACE, CCE Arthur Tarnowski is an award-winning editor who grew up loving James Bond and Ingmar Bergman films (thank you PBS). Editor of over 40 features, in both English and French, his eclectic filmography encompasses everything from broad comedies like the Canadian box-office hits Father and Guns 2 and Compulsive Liar to auteur cinema like Drunken Birds (Canada’s Academy Awards submission, 2022), Kidnapping Inc.(Sundance 2024; Haiti’s Academy Awards submission, 2026), Irena’s Vow (TIFF 2023) and The Hummingbird Project(TIFF 2018). He also enjoys cutting action pictures such as Deadfall (Tribeca 2013), Brick Mansions and The Decline. His television work includes The Sticky, DMV, 19-2, Bad Blood, Being Human, The Art of More, and The Moody’s. He has also created trailers for over 150 films. His most recent project, Heated Rivalry—a Crave/HBO series created with frequent collaborator writer-director Jacob Tierney—has become a global television phenomenon. VÉRONIQUE BARBE CCE Aside from her work on Heated Rivalry, Vero’s credits include HBO’s Big Little Lies and Sharp Objects, both directed by Jean‑Marc Vallée — a cherished creative partner and mentor whose impact continues to guide her work. She has edited TV series and films across Canada, the U.S., Europe, and Japan, and has earned nominations from the Emmys, ACE, CCE, and CSA. Sinners

Sinners
Editor - Michael P. Shawver Sinners editor Michael Shawver has enjoyed a long and productive relationship with his former USC classmate, director Ryan Coogler. Together the two have collaborated on Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and now Sinners. Their past experience on both VFX-heavy films like Black Panther, as well as socio-political dramas like Fruitvale Station, would prove invaluable as they worked to blend the real horror of racial injustice with the fantastical horror of a vampire onslaught. Taking place in 1932, Sinners follows identical twins, and World War I veterans, Elijah "Smoke" and Elias "Stack" Moore as they return to Clarksdale, Mississippi after spending seven years in Chicago. Using money stolen from criminal syndicates, they purchase a sawmill from a landowner to start a juke joint for the local Black community. Their younger cousin Sammie, a singer and guitarist, joins them despite his pastor father's warnings about the sins of blues music. His warnings would prove prophetic, as the twins and their friends face foes both familiar and supernatural. MICHAEL P. SHAWVER Originally from Rhode Island, Sinners editor Michael Shawver developed an early working relationship with director Ryan Coogler during their time together at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. Shawver initially edited Coogler's short film, Fig, and later went on to cut his feature debut, Fruitvale Station, starring Michael B. Jordan. The film garnered two of the Sundance Film Festival's top prizes, the Audience Award and the Grand Jury Prize, and went on to receive numerous awards and nominations at film festivals worldwide. Shawver also edited All Summers End, a debut feature film by director Kyle Wilamowski; Warren, by director Alex Beh; Tell, for director J.M.R. Luna; and Fourth Man Out, for Andrew Nackman. Shawver's next collaboration with Coogler and Jordan was Creed, for which he received a nomination for Best Editing in the Independent Critics Poll. Michael then reunited with Coogler and Jordan on Black Panther, a box office smash, which was nominated an outstanding 43 times, including for Best Picture at the Academy Awards and Best Motion Picture Drama at the Golden Globes. His work on this project also earned him a Saturn Award Nomination for Best Editing and an Alliance of Women Film Journalists Nomination for the Best Editing EDA Award. In addition, the film won Movie of the Year at the AFI Awards. Following Black Panther, Shawver edited A Quiet Place: Part II, directed by John Krasinski. He later returned to the Marvel universe for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, again collaborating with Coogler and Jordan. Shawver's recent work includes Abigail, a genre-bending thriller directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. PLUR1BUS
Editors - Skip Macdonald ACE, Chris McCaleb ACE and Joey Liew The PLUR1BUS editing team of Skip, Chris and Joey have worked together for 15 years on Vince Gilligan's Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and now his new sci-fi hit for Apple TV+. With that kind of shared experience the three have established a creative "hive mind" of their own, while still demonstrating their individual talents as storytellers. Despite PLUR1BUS being such a departure from the stories he has told up to this point, it's easy to see why one thing Vince wouldn't change is the post crew that has helped make his shows modern classics. PLUR1BUS follows Albuquerque author Carol Sturka, who is one of only 13 people in the world immune to the effects of the "Joining", an event in which an extraterrestrial virus transformed the rest of humanity into a peaceful and content hive mind known as the "Others". The hive mind happily accommodates the wishes of those who remain unaffected, but admits that it will ultimately seek to assimilate them when it learns how to do so. Carol is adamantly against their efforts as she searches for a way to reverse the Joining. SKIP MACDONALD, ACE Despite an inauspicioius beginning to his career, working as an assistant sound editor on legendary film flop, Heaven's Gate, today Skip's mantle features an Emmy® award for his work on Breaking Bad. Adding his work on Fargo to the shows he has done with Vince Gilligan, Skip has been nominated for 12 ACE Eddie awards and 11 prime-time Emmy® awards, including his win in 2014. CHRIS McCALEB, ACE In addition to being thrice nominated for an Emmy® award for his work on Breaking Bad (1x) and Better Call Saul (2x), Chris has been nominated for a total of four ACE Eddie awards between the two shows, winning in 2021 for his work on Better Call Saul. JOEY LIEW California native turned New Mexico transplant, Joey Liew has steadily risen up the ranks of Vince Gilligan's ABQ universe. Joey began on Breaking Bad in 2010 as a production assistant, before making his way as an assistant editor and then editor on Better Call Saul and now PLUR1BUS. It - Welcome to Derry
Editors - Esther Sokolow, Glenn Garland ACE and Matthew V. Colonna ACE IT: Welcome to Derry editors Esther, Glenn and Matt had never worked together prior to the new HBO series, but quickly formed a family bond that translated into a fun and creative cutting room. Their antics included scaring unsuspecting tourists taking the Warner Brothers tram tour past their offices. And you know what Jack Torrance says about "all work and no play"! Developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs, It: Welcome to Derry is based on Stephen King's 1986 novel It and is a prequel to the films It (2017) and It: Chapter Two (2019). The series takes place in 1962, when a couple and their son move to Derry, Maine just as a young boy disappears. With their arrival, bad things begin to happen in the town. Again. ESTHER SOKOLOW Esther Sokolow is a Los Angeles-based editor who specializes in genre-rich storytelling, bold characters, and projects with cinematic scope. Esther's collaboration with IT: Welcome to Derry showrunner Andy Muschietti began on IT: Chapter Two, where she served as 1st Assistant Editor, and continued on The Flash, where she was promoted to Additional Editor. Her work bridges studio tentpoles and independent character dramas, with a focus on horror, psychological thrillers, and supernatural themes. Her early film diet of Hitchcock, classic mysteries, and silent comedies provided provided inspiration for an editor drawn to tension, timing, and the emotional weight of what’s unspoken. Later, the spectacle of The Lord of the Rings sparked a love for scale and the thrill of stories that move an audience. Originally from Atlanta, she moved to California to study Film Editing at Chapman University. In 2015, she was selected as an honorary intern for American Cinema Editors (ACE), an experience that shaped her early career and inspired a commitment to both craft and mentorship. Esther now speaks on an annual panel for the ACE Internship Program and serves on MPEG’s Apprenticeship and Growth Committee, supporting the next generation of editors and assistant editors. Before stepping into the editing chair, Esther worked as an assistant editor on feature films including Rampage, Bloodshot, The Guilty, Stronger, Fall, and Rememory. She also worked in-house as a VFX Editor at Method Studios, contributing to Guardians of the Galaxy and San Andreas. Her years supporting other editors honed more than technique; they taught her to listen to pacing, to performance, and to subtle story beats others might overlook. That same quiet attention now shapes her own work. GLENN GARLAND, ACE Glenn Garland is television and film editor with more than twenty years of experience in the entertainment industry. In addition to cutting IT: Welcome To Derry, other impressive TV credits include Poker Face, The Vampire Diaries, Preacher, Banshee, Stan Against Evil, and Altered Carbon. Editor, Myron Kerstein ACE WICKED: FOR GOOD editor, Myron Kerstein ACE finds himself in familiar post-production territory after taking a short break to enjoy the success of the first film in this two-part adaption of the musical megahit. This brief respit included Myron receiving an Oscar® nomination and an ACE Eddie win for his efforts. But this time out, Myron faces the challenge of closing out this story with a movie that is darker in tone with a more complex narrative. Adapted from the venerable Broadway smash, WICKED: FOR GOOD follows the journey of a young woman named Elphaba. Misunderstood and often outcast because of her green skin, Elphaba forges an unlikely but profound friendship with Glinda, a fellow student with an unflinching desire for popularity. Frankenstein
11/17/2025
Frankenstein
Editor - Evan Schiff ACE Frankenstein editor Evan Schiff ACE first began his journey as an assistant editor on Del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth (2006). Over the next, nearly two decades, Evan would establish himself as an action movie editor to be reckoned with. He would flex his cutting chops on films like John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017), John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019) and Bob Odenkirk's action debut, Nobody (2021). Evan would also drop by the MCU to cut The Marvels (2023). But to hear Evan tell it, it was hardly his skills as an action editor that would prompt Del Toro to hire his former assistant editor to cut Frankenstein. Produced, written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, and based on the 1818 novel by Mary Shelley, Frankenstein stars Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, and Christoph Waltz. The film follows the life of egotistical scientist Victor Frankenstein whose experiment in creating new life results in dangerous consequences when his monstrous creation comes to life. EVAN SCHIFF ACE (In Evan's own words...) Originally from Syracuse, NY, I started my career in the film industry at the age of 16, between my junior and senior years of high school, with an internship at Stan Winston Studio (now Legacy EFX). After graduating from high school and being accepted into USC's film production program, SWS hired me back to do tech support as their Systems Administrator and eventually their in-house VFX Editor. I worked there part-time for all four years of college and full-time for one year after. While at USC, I got bit by the editing bug. I found that, even more than creature or visual effects, I loved sitting in the editing bay for hours on end putting my student films together. So a year after graduation, and five years after starting my job at Stan Winston's, I started to pursue editing full-time. It was slow at first, but eventually I got my first few jobs as an assistant editor, and things took off from there. One Battle After Another

One Battle After Another
Editor - Andy Jurgensen One Battle After Another editor Andy Jurgensen came into his new film already "battle" tested with director Paul Thomas Anderson's unique film-based workflow. Shoot film. Print film dailies. Screen film dailies. Create digital workprint. Cut in Avid. Conform negative. But Paul loves a challenge, so he decided to not only make "One Battle" the first IMAX film presented entirely in the 1.43:1 ratio, but he also resurrected the VistaVision format for the first time in sixty years. Luckily, Andy loves a challenge too. One Battle After Another stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Bob, a washed-up revolutionary who lives in a state of stoned paranoia, surviving off-grid with his spirited and self-reliant daughter, Willa. When his evil nemesis, Colonel Lockjaw (Sean Penn), resurfaces and Willa goes missing, the former radical scrambles to find her as both father and daughter battle the consequences of their pasts. ANDY JURGENSEN Andy Jurgensen has worked with director Paul Thomas Anderson since their time together on Inherent Vice (2014). At that time, Andy was first assistant editor to Leslie Jones ACE. From there Andy served as associate editor to Dylan Tichenor ACE on Anderson's Phantom Thread (2017). Andy finally got his big break as a lead editor for Anderson's Licorice Pizza (2021). Black Rabbit
Editors - Vikash Patel, Cedric Nairn-Smith and Kyle Reiter ACE Black Rabbit editors Viks, Ced and Kyle worked independently during post but still managed to collectively craft a complex narrative that stayed consistent in tone and style throughout the run of the series. And while new guy Reiter described feeling like a "bench player" on the team, Viks and Ced benefited from a long working relationship that began with Viks mentoring Ced as his former assistant. Regardless of any of their past experiences, star and producer Jason Bateman tasked the post team with creating a vibe that had tendencies drawn from Bateman's Netflix hit, Ozark but also from dark comedies like the Safdie brothers' Uncut Gems. Black Rabbit tells the tale of two brothers, Vince and Jake Friedken, former bandmates in a successful musical act whose lives went down different paths in the years that followed. Rising-star restaurateur Jake is forced into New York's criminal underworld when his chaotic brother returns to town with loan sharks on his trail, opens the door to escalating dangers that threaten to bring down everything he's built. VIKASH PATEL In addition to his work on Black Rabbit, Viks won an Emmy® in 2008 for his work on TOP CHEF and was nominated for an Emmy® in 2020 for his work on OZARK. Viks has also edited series that include THE SYMPATHIZER (2024), THE MORNING SHOW (2019), BATES MOTEL (2015-16) and LONGMIRE (2012-14). KYLE REITER, ACE 4x Emmy® nominee Reiter has edited such shows as MR. AND MRS. SMITH (2024), BARRY (2018) and ATLANTA (2016), a series for which Kyle would win an ACE Eddie award in 2019. The Paper

The Paper
Editors - Julie Cohen ACE and David Rogers ACE The Paper editors Julie Cohen and David Rogers first began collaborating on another Greg Daniels series, Space Force. Although that series was not in the same "mock doc" format as The Paper, David's first show with Daniels was. And that series was The Office, where he served as both editor and director. Both Julie and David felt at home with The Paper's faux documentary format however, with David having worked on The Office and Julie receiving multiple Emmy nominations for her work on the unscripted series, Project Runway. The Paper follows up on the story from The Office, as the documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch discovers a disappearing Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters. This mockumentary follows the daily lives and struggles of dreamers in love with journalism, and their less-than-competent co-workers, trying to deliver accurate news without the resources or training to do a great job. JULIE COHEN ACE Julie Cohen "loves to edit!" and considers herself lucky to have done it a lot over the last twenty years. She's edited across genres: documentary, reality, comedy, drama, sometimes all at once. Highlights include Project Runway, On Becoming a God in Central Florida, and Space Force. Most recently, she edited a bunch of episodes of Hulu’s Tell Me Lies, starting with the pilot and including both season finales. DAVID ROGERS ACE David Rogers wanted to be a director since seeing Superman The Movie at the age of 8, and shot videos and films throughout high school and college. Following that he would move to L.A. and work as an Assistant Editor and then Editor on such shows as Seinfeld, NewsRadio, Andy Richter Controls The Universe, Entourage, The Comeback, and The Office. David started directing on The Office and directed shows like Parks and Recreation and The Mindy Project, where he also served as Co-Executive Producer. Weapons
Editor - Joe Murphy Weapons editor Joe Murphy probably had no idea when he interviewed with Zach Cregger over a Zoom call that, in a relatively short amount of time, they would collaborate on not one, but two hit horror films. Regardless, Joe says that call wasn't just about getting to know each other, but also about ensuring a supportive and frank collaboration; key ingredients for him in being able to articulate the director’s vision effectively. Weapons unfolds in chapters around six main characters, which presented a unique challenge in introducing new characters multiple times throughout the film. According to Joe, the key was finding the balance between familiarizing the audience with these characters while maintaining narrative momentum. Zach Cregger's Weapons follows the seemingly inexplicable case of seventeen children from the same classroom who mysteriously run away on the same night at the same time, having been apparently abducted by an unseen force. Joe Murphy Prior to his work on Weapons, Joe cut such films as On Swift Horses (2024), Paper Soldiers (2020), and Zach Cregger's first horror feature, Barbarian (2022). Director, Richard Shepard and Editor, Adam Lichtenstein FILM GEEK isn't just another notch on the IMDB belts of director, Richard Shepard and his friend and editor, Adam Lichtenstein. This is the story of Richard's cinematic "life" and the mysterious father who was his guide into that world. Deftly incoroporating clips from over 200 movies of the 70's and early 80's, FILM GEEK chronicles Richard's introduction and absorption into films both classic and forgotten, between the ages of 6 and 18. From there, Richard would make the transition from amateur 8MM auteur, to being an "all-in" film student at NYU, where he would begin his over thirty-year friendship and collaboration with Adam. And it is Adam whom Richard credits as drawing out the more personal aspects of his journey in FILM GEEK, most notably the story of his complicated but caring father. RICHARD SHEPARD Richard Shepard is an Emmy and DGA-winning director/writer whose feature films include the Golden Globe nominated The Matador starring Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear, Dom Hemingway starring Jude Law and Richard E. Grant, and The Perfection starring Allison Williams and Logan Browning which was named one of the best horror films of the year by Rolling Stone, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and New York Magazine. In his career, Shepard has directed ten television pilots to pick-up including Criminal Minds, now entering its 17th season; Ugly Betty for which Shepard won the Director’s Guild award and Emmy award; the Golden Globe and Emmy nominated Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist; and Acapulco for Apple, now in its third season. Through its six seasons, Shepard directed twelve episodes of the Golden Globe winning HBO series Girls, including the controversial “American Bitch” episode for which Matthew Rhys received an Emmy nomination, as well as several Emmy nominated episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale. He recently directed the final two episodes of the multiple Emmy nominated Welcome to Chippendales a Hulu limited series. Shepard’s short film Tokyo Project starring Elisabeth Moss and Ebon Moss-Bachrach premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was bought by HBO, and his HBO documentary I Knew It Was You: Rediscovering John Cazale was nominated for an Emmy award. ADAM LICHTENSTEIN Born with a natural love for time code, Adam showed an early preference for non-drop frame, then rose through the editorial ranks pretending to enjoy sports, overusing terms like "shots on goal", "swish", "in your face" and "that's what I'm talking about" without the slightest idea what he was talking about. Editor - Brian Scott Olds The Naked Gun editor Brian Scott Olds knows that comedy thrives on the elements of surprise and timing. He applied this philosophy to every aspect of the film—from physical gags to witty word play and silly sound design. But making a film that respects the legacy of its predecessor while updating its essence for today is no laughing matter. Brian and director Akiva Schaffer had a clear mission: maintain the comedic tone and tenor from the original while spoofing modern-day blockbusters like Mission Impossible. And stop calling me Shirley. Avika Schaffer's take on The Naked Gun features Lieutenant Frank Drebin Jr (Liam Neeson) working as a police officer like his legendary father. In order to save Police Squad from shutting down he must solve the mystery behind.....oh, who cares?! This is The Naked Gun! The plot doesn't matter! The Fantastic Four - First Steps
Editors - Nona Khodai ACE and Tim Roche The Fantastic Four: First Steps sees editors Nona Khodai and Tim Roche reunite for the 37th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the second reboot of the Fantastic Four film series. The film also marks the first time the two have worked together since Marvel's live action series debut, WandaVision. Although each had worked with him separately before, WandaVision was the first time both Nona and Tim worked with director Matt Shakman on a Marvel project. The Fantastic Four: First Steps takes place in 1964, as the world celebrates the fourth anniversary of astronauts Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm becoming the superhero team known as the Fantastic Four (Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and the Thing). But the celebration doesn't last for long as the four face their most daunting challenge yet as they defend Earth from Galactus and Silver Surfer. NONA KHODAI ACE A Southern California native and graduate of USC's Cinematic Arts school, Nona started her career as an assistant on such films as the Bad Robot production, Super 8. Andor
Editor - Yan Miles ACE, BFE Andor editor Yan Miles partly attributes the decision not to extensively use the Stagecraft "volume" technology as the reason why his series has a distinctly different look and feel to other shows under the Star Wars banner. Instead, Andor leans into real-world environments, capturing the grit and authenticity that Yan believes enhances the narrative. Another significant factor in that differentiation is Tony Gilroy's writing, where the narrative complexity lies. Despite knowing the ultimate fate of characters like Cassian Andor, the series thrives on the uncertainty surrounding minor characters and their arcs. It's in these uncharted territories that the tension in Andor finds its heartbeat. Season 2 of Andor continues the chronicling of Cassian Andor's journey as he becomes a key figure in the burgeoning Rebel Alliance against the Galactic Empire. The season covers the four years leading up to the events of Rogue One, with each arc spanning a year. Yan Miles ACE, BFE Yan Miles ACE, BFE is an acclaimed film and television editor whose work spans some of the most prestigious and visually dynamic series of the last decade. F1
Editor - Stephen Mirrione, ACE F1 editor Stephen Mirrione ACE, known for his exceptional work in films like Traffic and The Revenant, took on a whole new challenge with F1, an adrenaline-fueled project that demanded innovation and intricacy at every turn. One of the many tasks for Mirrione was ensuring the emotional weight and authenticity within F1's racing scenes. Every cut, every transition was made with the intention of drawing the audience deeper into the world of racing. The commitment to authenticity was evident in using Formula One track cameras and high-speed car mounts, which provided unparalleled realism. F1 stars Brad Pitt as race car driver, Sonny Hayes. In the 1990s, Hayes was Formula 1's most promising driver until an accident on the track nearly ended his career. Thirty years later, the owner of a struggling Formula 1 team convinces Sonny to return to racing and become the best in the world. Driving alongside the team's hotshot rookie, Sonny soon learns that the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone. Stephen Mirrione, ACE Stephen has spent the past thirty years building an impressive body of work. Unlike many editors who begin their journey into postproduction as assistants, Stephen made a name for himself right away as an editor in the indie film world. His work with directors Doug Liman (Getting in, Swingers, Go) and Jill Sprecher (Clockwatchers, Thirteen Conversations About One Thing) quickly established Stephen as a creative force to be reckoned with in the cutting room. Soon after Stephen would meet a director who would have a significant impact on his career...Steven Soderbergh. Their time together would begin with the film Traffic. This would not only be the first of Stephen's three Oscar nominations, but also his first Oscar win. Following Traffic, Stephen would take on the duties of editing Soderbergh's "Ocean's" films, starring an actor that would eventually become a prominent director in his own right, George Clooney. When Clooney began looking for an editor for his first project, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Soderbergh recommended Mirrione. The creative partnership between Clooney and Mirrione would result in seven feature films. Not one to rest on his laurels too long, over that same time period Mirrione would also edit five of Alejandro G. Iñárritu's films (21 Grams, Babel, Biutiful, Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) and The Revenant). Sirens
Editors - Catherine Haight ACE, Laura Zempel ACE and Isaac Hagy ACE SIRENS editors Cate, Laura and Isaac have crafted a television experience that intrigues and entertains the audience, while also challenging them on conventional gender biases. Their work on SIRENS was not just professionally unifying but creatively fulfilling as well. The team established a ritual of analyzing scenes together each week, discussing tone, performance, and overarching storyline elements. This collaborative approach allowed them to align their unique editing styles into a cohesive representation of the series' narrative. One of the remarkable aspects of SIRENS is its tonal balance—oscillating between humor, mystery, and drama. The show’s collaborative ethos even extended beyond the main editing trio. They leaned on the talents of assistant editors like Jen Bryson, who ultimately co-edited Episode 5 with Laura. Based on her play, Elemeno Pea, Molly Smith Metzler's Sirens tells the story of two estranged sisters from Buffalo, Devon and Simon. While Devon is back in Buffalo, caring for their father who suffers from early on-set dementia, Simone is living in the idyllic seaside town Port Haven, working as a personal assistant for a wealthy socialite named Michaela. When Devon travels to Port Haven to bring Simone back to Buffalo to help care for their father, she finds a resistant sister who seems to be under some kind of mind control from her employer. When Devon refuses to leave without Simone, the mystery of Michaela unravels in a blend of drama and dark comedy. Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning
Editor - Eddie Hamilton ACE MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - THE FINAL RECKONING editor Eddie Hamilton ACE has edited the last four of the franchise's eight films. While there are a combined five other editors responsible for the first four movies, the challenge of tying up any loose ends and bringing the franchise to a close (seemingly) fell solely to Eddie. In addition to his work on the Mission Impossible films, Eddie has also taken part in two other action franchises. Eddie cut TOP GUN: MAVERICK as well as two of director Matthew Vaughn's "Kingsman" films. Both within, and beyond, these three franchises, Eddie has clearly set himself apart as one of the top action movie editors working today. Picking up two months after the events of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - DEAD RECKONING PART ONE, Ethan Hunt and the IMF team must stop a malevolent AI known as "The Entity" from either forcing the world powers into a nuclear war or launching the missiles on its own. Adding to the challenge, they must do this before Ethan's nemesis Gabriel gains control of The Entity and its power to dominate the world. Eddie Hamilton, ACE Prior to finishing the seventh and eighth films in the Mission Impossible franchise, Eddie cut Top Gun: Maverick, directed by Joseph Kosinski, for which he was nominated for the Oscar and BAFTA Film Editing awards, and won the ACE Eddie and Hamilton Behind The Camera Award. He also cut Mission: Impossible - Fallout and Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation for director Christopher McQuarrie. Other credits include Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, X-Men: First Class and Kick-Ass for director Matthew Vaughn. After 30 years in the industry Eddie has cut over 20 feature films (both indies and studio movies) in a wide variety of genres as well as TV dramas, documentaries and award-winning short films. Overcompensating
Editors - Todd Downing ACE and Amelia Allwarden ACE OVERCOMPENSATING editors Todd and Amelia often leaned on each other for perspective throughout the post process. As Todd recounted, "You lose perspective, but there are other jokes that you always, always laugh at, and then you know it’s a gem." Editing comedy, as Amelia noted, involves understanding the micro-timing of jokes — knowing precisely when to cut away or linger, to maximize comedic impact. Todd echoes this sentiment, explaining that edits can drastically influence the pacing and timing essential for landing a joke. Ultimately, the collaborative dynamic between the two allowed them to strike a balance between comedy and the series' more serious undertones. OVERCOMPENSATING tells the story of Benny, a former high school football star and valedictorian from Idaho, as he begins his freshman year of college at the fictional Yates University, where his sister Grace is a junior. He is closeted and masks his true identity by aping the machismo of his male peers, particularly that of Peter, Grace's jock boyfriend. On his first day on campus, Benny befriends Carmen, a freshman from New Jersey who was an outsider in high school. Together, Benny and Carmen navigate their first year of college, which includes new relationships, pledging the college's secret society, and figuring out their true selves.
