#49 - Krs: Art NFTs Beyond Art
On Totemo's Street Art Collector this week, Steph sits down with Swedish-born, Toyko-based artist and teacher Kristoffer "Krs" Kullengren, who began his painting path in the digital realm before spreading his colourful, playful style into the physical world as well. Since 2008, Kris has built up a massive career. He has had more than 20 solo exhibitions in the last 5 years and sold more than 5000 digital artworks on the blockchain. He was the first artist to exhibit NFTs in Tokyo, the first foreign artist to work with the Chinese government's blockchain “Conflux”, and he conceived and executed the first NFT project in El Salvador to use NFTs to create coffee futures, supporting the crypto-run country to circumvent the banking system to sell future coffee supplies.
