270 | Housework Haters: How to Turn Your Rebellion Into Radical Self-Care
Hy Friends, Do you ever feel like rebelling against housework is your way of saying “I’m not playing this game”? 🙋♀️ Maybe you leave the dishes, ignore the laundry, or let the clutter pile up because it feels like freedom. Here’s the paradox: sometimes saying no to chores is self-love. And sometimes saying yes to chores is also self-love. The key isn’t the task—it’s the energy and mindset you bring to it. In this episode of Declutter Your Chaos, I’ll show you how to: ✨ Recognize when skipping chores is actually an act of rebellion that honors your needs. ✨ Reframe cleaning as a radical act of self-love (instead of an obligation). ✨ Use one simple question before every task: Am I rebelling through self-love, or am I tending through self-love? ✨ Shift your mindset so that even ordinary chores become an opportunity to recharge, restore, and remind yourself of your worth. We’ll dig into research on motivation, stress, and cognitive reframing—and I’ll give you approachable practices to help you check your energy in the moment. Because when you change the why behind your chores, you change the way you feel in your home. So whether you’re resisting housework or craving order, this episode will help you find peace in the paradox. Ever feel like decluttering is just one more chore on your endless to-do list? In this episode, I share the story of moving into a new neighborhood, feeling completely alone, and how a simple plate of cookies helped me shift my energy from isolation to connection. Decluttering works the same way. When we reframe it from “I have to get rid of this” to “I get to give this,” the whole process transforms. Instead of feeling like drudgery, letting go becomes a privilege — a chance to create space, share abundance, and invite new energy into your life. Hey Guys! What if “self-care” isn’t about bubble baths or spa days… but about cleaning your toilet? Stay with me here. In today’s episode of Declutter Your Chaos, I’m breaking down the myth of self-care, why the word selfless makes me want to scream, and how decluttering is actually one of the most radical acts of self-love you can practice. We’ll talk about: Why calling women selfless is not a compliment (and why I hate when people do it) The difference between self-care and self-love — and why the language we use matters Why decluttering is so much more than “just cleaning” — it’s about self-worth, clarity, and reclaiming your energy A simple 3-step plan to start treating decluttering as self-care, even if you only have 15 minutes By the end of this episode, you’ll have a clear, actionable way to nurture yourself that doesn’t involve pretending a bubble bath will fix your exhaustion. Instead, you’ll see how even the smallest act of clearing clutter can shift your energy, your mindset, and your sense of worthiness. 258 | Which Sentimental Items to Keep
How to let go of sentimental items from someone who has passed away? I will tell you in this episode. But before you listen, join the facebook group because this Saturday, July 19 we are doing a live group free decluttering session that will give you lots of momentum. I will post the zoom link in the facebook group. Can't wait to meet you on Saturday! Here's the Facebook link at 10am Pacific/1pm Eastern. Zoom link can be found there in the group. Hi Friends, If you have a room full of sentimental items, this episode is for you. Here is the four steps I talk about in the episode: block out at least two hours - this type of decuttering is not a race Put yourself in a grounded state, breathe, take a walk, whatever you need to do Go into that room and allow yourself to feel. Don't look at it as stress or clutter. think of it as a treasure hunt for good energy. While you are going through the process, allow yoursefl to emotionally process all the things in that room. Let it in, and then notice what in this room makes me feel good? Choose the one or two or three things that you will treasure. Load up the rest and let them go. I hope this helps you!
