After receiving the prestigious Distinguished Military Graduate designation, Danny was commissioned as an infantry officer in the United States Army in 1997. He is a graduate of the Infantry Officers Basic Course, the Bradley Fighting Vehicle Leaders Course, the Basic Airborne Course and the Jump Master Course. He was a performing member of the Silver Wings, the Army’s first and oldest parachute demonstration and skydiving team. After six years of combined service, he departed the Army in 2001 as a Captain having successfully led hundreds of men and women while maintaining responsibility for millions of dollars in vehicles, equipment and gear. Danny was awarded the prestigious Hispanic Man of the Year by Tampa Hispanic Heritage Incorporated and was also named The Tampa Bay Community Service Person of the Year by Al Gallon Ministries in 2015.
