The Work of Worship
This week, Sam explores a kingdom vision for work, calling, and vocation, reminding us that the work of our hands matters deeply to God. From the opening pages of Genesis to Bezalel, the hidden years of Jesus, and Paul’s teaching in Colossians and Romans, Scripture reveals that work is not simply something we endure or a platform for ministry—it can become an offering of worship. Our primary calling is first to know and enjoy God, and from that place to faithfully steward what He has entrusted to us. Whether our work feels significant or ordinary, permanent or seasonal, God invites us to cultivate, create, serve, and bring flourishing wherever He has placed us. As we offer our everyday lives back to Jesus, work becomes avodah—work and worship intertwined. This message invites us to stop measuring calling by titles or status and instead ask, “What does faithfulness look like right here, right now?” trusting that our labor in the Lord is never in vain.
