Step into assignment. Start with what’s in front of you. Keep moving, and strength will come. In Week 2 of God Might, Alan traces Gideon’s journey from hidden weakness to courageous obedience. What begins in fear moves toward surrender, worship, and bold action as God strips away self-reliance and reveals that His power works best through surrendered people. This message follows the movement of Judges 6–7: start with what is in front of you, don’t despise small beginnings, surrender what you trust, and step boldly into what God is asking of you. Alan reminds us that assignment rarely begins when we feel ready. It begins when we respond. God gives power to the weak, increases strength to those who have none, and often calls us forward before we feel strong enough to go. The invitation is not to rely on your own ability, but to trust the Spirit, surrender what props you up, and discover how God turns weakness into strength.
