Live and Let Go Just because we’ve been hurt in the past doesn't mean we should shut others out or shut down our hearts. It's not easy, especially when we feel like others don’t deserve our forgiveness for what they’ve said or done. This is how we justify our feelings by withholding forgiveness from them but in reality what is that approach really doing? In all actuality all it does is store more anger, bitterness, sadness and resentment. Causing internal conflicts within ourselves. What forgiveness really does is it gives us the freedom to move forward from our pain, to grow and learn from that experience by not carrying their shortcomings but rather carrying what is ours into an upgraded version of ourselves for future relationships. That means surrendering our need to want to lash back out from a place of hurt and letting God take care of them as He continues to take care of you. We don't need to seek our own justice. We are all amazing at avoiding things. But what happens when avoiding turns into consistent running from issues that are inevitable to repeat history in our lives? Which seems like a great strategy for temporary band aid issues for relief. But in fact what these types of continuous decisions do is conform us to a life of running.
