Darius Wallace: The Legacy of the Actor-Storyteller
Yvette met Darius Wallace at his performance of Frederick Douglass at the Newtown Theatre in Newtown, Pennsylvania. He transported the audience to another place and time with his delivery of “Frederick Douglass: The Self-Made Man and The Work of Rebuilding a Nation." In Yvette's conversation with Darius, he shares his work in television and film and his journey overcoming his personal challenges with mental health. He sustains his creative life through the practice of Tai Chi, meditation, prayer, and lifelong study, bringing presence, truth, and intention to his chosen work. Darius is an author, coach, Hollywood actor, director, and filmmaker who has built a strong television and film career, appearing in projects such as Nothing But the Truth, Brian Banks, and The World We Make. His television credits include Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Reasonable Doubt, and Tyler Perry’s Sistas.
