It can be hard to understand local civics, not to mention engaging with government bodies. It can also be difficult to keep up with community efforts. Join me every week for a short, Informal, interesting and informative conversation as I engage guests on these topics and more near Muncie, Indiana and the surrounding areas. Whether you want to learn about how the City Council works or about local non-profit organizations, this podcast is for you. Are you IN?
SECRET KINDNESS AGENTS
Moved by the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, Mama Beast wondered if a simple act of kindness could change a life. She thought of the school where she taught and the students she guided every day and wondered, what would happen if we started secretly carrying out small acts of kindness in school? Could a modest act of compassion really change the course of a life? She posed the question to her students. They didn’t have the answers but they were willing to find out. And so they became the Secret Kindness Agents. They not only changed the lives of those they met, they changed their own. Their hope, their hearts, and their hunger for happiness will inspire you to change your small corner of the world, in your own way, for the better. Let them show you how they did it, and how you can do the same.
BEHIND THE G.L.A.M.
Behind the G.L.A.M. is the podcast about galleries, libraries, archives, and museums. Host Alex Villaseran speaks with curators, archivists, librarians, and other history and museum professionals about their careers as stewards of the past, the human stories attached to historic artifacts, and the very nerdy hobbies they engage in in their spare time.

MR. ALLARD’S NEIGHBORHOOD
What I plan to cover is not just the latest Trump outrage or how Pelosi is making the country socialist and that kind of thing (although there will be some that, for sure!), but also a focus on local items and events. If you have a nonprofit or a charitable event in the Burleson area soon, I would be glad to mention them on the podcasts and the website. If you want some time on the podcasts to publicize the events, I consider that part of my civic duty to provide that opportunity.
