DESERT X ALULA PODCAST
We are presenting this new Desert X AlUla podcast series at a time when the health and well-being of our audiences around the world is of great concern. The series is free to download at a moment when many of you may be at home and not able to engage with art and culture as usual. We hope you will enjoy hearing from the Desert X AlUla co-curators and participating artists, many of whose voices have not been heard before. Thank you for listening. This Desert X AlUla podcast series gives voice to artists from Saudi Arabia, the neighboring region, Europe and the U.S and accompanies Desert X AlUla, a site-responsive exhibition that took place January 31–March 7, 2020 in the desert of AlUla, an ancient oasis in Saudi Arabia. Desert X AlUla co-curators Neville Wakefield, Raneem Farsi and Aya Alireza talk with some of the participating artists about responding to the mighty landscape and why they welcomed the opportunity to participate. Their large-scale site-specific works have inspired new dialogue about the desert and themes that range from the passage of goods and ideas along the ancient incense route, the cultural memory that passage has left, and the natural resources that have shaped the region, both past and present.
WHEN EXPERTS ATTACK!
“When Experts Attack!” fights misinformation, zaps half-truths, and sets the record straight. Each episode is a conversation with a specialist in science, art, society or health, for example. Hear guests answer the question: "Hey, what does everybody get wrong about what you do?"
TEA AT TT'S
Tea at TT's is the punchy, new interview series you didn't realize you needed, where former digital editor and all-around nosy inquirer, Tiana "TT" Gidley, invites dynamic guests of all different backgrounds and experiences to her Nashville home to ask the invasive, personal questions and drink literal tea. Warm, inspirational, and all-too real, Tea at TT's is the next best option when you can't pull up a chair next to your closest friends and chit-chat in confidence.
