Sometimes poignant and often hilarious, Robin Meloy Goldsby, host of The Piano Girl Podcast, reveals the comedies, tragedies, and mundane miracles witnessed from the business side of the Steinway. A pianist in lounges and lobbies around the world, Goldsby tells her stories by connecting people she has met with places she has played. Along the way she discovers the human side, for better or worse, of her audiences—mobsters and moguls, the down-and-out and downright scary, and ordinary people dealing with life in extraordinary ways. Her stories deliver insights into the art and craft of piano playing—and inspiring lessons in life—as she pursues her dreams on her own terms. Robin Meloy Goldsby is the author of Piano Girl; Waltz of the Asparagus People; Rhythm; and Manhattan Road Trip. She has appeared on National Public Radio’s All Things Consideredand NPR's Piano Jazz with Marian McPartland. Robin is a Grammy-nominated lyricist. She is a Steinway Artist and cultural ambassador with artistic ties to both Europe and the USA; her newest solo piano album, Home and Away, launched at Buckingham Palace in November, 2017, at a gala hosted by HRH, the Prince of Wales, in honor of In Kind Direct, an organization that encourages corporate giving for social good. Robin currently performs plays about 150 live piano gigs a year at Excelsior Hotel Ernst in Cologne, Germany, and tours internationally with her popular concert/reading program. "Goldsby has a wicked sense of humor and a keen eye for the absurd. Bighearted, funny, truly eye-opening memoir." Publishers Weekly Starred Review

Welcome to "comPOSERS The Movie Score Podcast", where three old musician friends of dubious talent enjoy some movie-themed drinks while discussing film scores and the films they're in. Our goal is to find the perfect movie score, and our journey takes us some really weird places. Each episode, the boys discuss and review a film and its associated score, assigning a totally meaningless percentage grade based on enjoyment (45%), score-to-film (45%) and a silly category unique to the movie (10%). The answers will shock and amaze you, we hope! Join us on this bizarre musical trek to...somewhere? Follow us on the socials (Twitter and Instagram, currently) @composerspod, then sit back, pour yourself an adult beverage and enjoy some comPOSING.

Eat, Pray, Britney

Britney Spears was under a conservatorship from 2008 to 2021 where all her financial and personal decisions had to be approved by her conservators, including her father, Jamie Spears. Britney earned hundreds of millions of dollars during that time, performing and touring extensively, while being deemed too impaired by the courts to be in control of her life. Britney is one of the most recognizable celebrities in the world, yet very little of the massive media coverage she generated focused on the conservatorship until the #FreeBritney movement grew within the last few years before the restrictive legal arrangement finally ended. Now that the conservatorship has been terminated, there are still an enormous amount of unanswered questions, including whether those responsible for the conservatorship will be held accountable for what Britney experienced during those 13+ years. Eat, Pray, Britney tries to draw attention to the restrictive constraints Britney was under during the conservatorship, as well as her current pursuit of justice, while also examining her life and career through a feminist lens.

Being a creative and putting your art out into the world can be both exhilarating and terrifying. The Moderately Tortured Artist is a podcast by coach Kimberley Smith that started as a show for musicians and has now taken on a life of its own. It's for any creative who has ever considered giving up. Any artist who has felt it is too hard, encountered too much rejection or feels crippled by their perfectionism. Part pep talk, part permission slip, this show is about helping you remember what matters most. The joy of creating something unique, the self expression and story you share with others and the elation you feel when it all just clicks. Because as tough as it is, we couldn't imagine doing anything else.
