THE PROSPECTIVES
The Prospectives is in its fourth season, but its first as a podcast. It was originally published as an illustrated serial on Instagram for three seasons. Each season is standalone, so you can jump right into the podcast without having missed anything. In this fourth season, our narrator Luke trades an aimless existence in New York for a secret double life in Berlin, where he is quickly pulled into the queer, expat, and nightlife communities. The people he meets, the music he hears, and the mischief he pursues all play a role in his antiheroic odyssey. He recounts the story for you here, producing and curating lots of great music along the way. The Prospectives is a fictional podcast written and performed by Adam Hurly (@adamhurly), and all original music is produced by Joy Joseph (@joyjosephmusic). The series is edited by Jason Oberholtzer of Charts and Leisure. (www.chartsandleisure.com) Follow us on Instagram @TheProspectives for each episode's artwork, drawn by Paul Tuller (@paul.tuller and @vectorescapade), and to leave feedback or chat with other listeners. You can also download PDFs of the first three series at www.theprospectives.com. Each season features a different illustrator and follows a unique LGBTQ narrative.
AUTHORS LOVE READERS: THE PODCAST
Authors Love Readers, hosted by USAToday bestselling author Patricia McLinn, is a conversation between authors about how and why they create stories. With questions contributed by readers. Quite a few podcasts are out there for aspiring and established writers, both on the craft and the business. This podcast, though, is for readers. The goal is to have authors on the show who write in all sorts of fiction genres. As a reader, it doesn’t matter which path to publication an author takes – independent, traditional, hybrid and other combinations. That’s not going to matter on Authors Love Readers, either. McLinn is the author of more than 50 books, including her ongoing murder mystery series, Caught Dead in Wyoming and Secret Sleuth, and the romantic suspense The Innocence Trilogy. She also writes romances (mostly contemporary, with a few historical), women’s fiction and nonfiction writers guides. She had 27 books in 25 years in traditional publishing. Having secured the rights back to a number of her earlier books, she began indie publishing in early 2010. That made her officially a hybrid author, since she also still had books under traditional contracts. In mid-2015 she left the final traditional publisher and has been happily 100% independent since. Thank you to DialogMusik for the instrumentals that accompany this podcast!
THE BIG LOOP
The Big Loop is a biweekly anthology series from the co-creator of The Black Tapes. Hosted by Paul Bae (co-creator of The Black Tapes & PNWS), each episode is a self-contained narrative exploring the strange, the wonderful, the terrifying, and the heartbreaking. Stories of finite beings in an infinite universe.
