In this episode, it’s my honor to sit down with my Son Steven. In this heart to heart podcast, we discuss how he felt growing up and dealing with being overweight. This subject normally gets swept under the rug because it affects many of us including me. As his Father, I had no idea what he was going through during that stage in his life and I wish I did because things would have been different. As parents, our goal is to always make sure our children are fed properly and in many instances, we find out years later that we may have overdone it. As Christians some of us tend to look past weight issues and try to point out other problems in people’s lives like smoking, drinking, lust, and foul language, but we must remember that 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 states: 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
