info_outlineJonah 1:4-17
1. God knows the appropriate way to discipline us when we choose to disobey Him (Jonah 1:4). Discipline is evidence:
- of God's love (Hebrews 12:5-6).
- of being the child of God (Hebrews 12:7-8).
2. Our disobedience to God results in consequences for us personally, but also for those around us (Jonah 1:5-10).
3. When God disciplines you because of your sin, repent! (Jonah 1:11-17).
Warning: To refuse to repent when God disciplines you is to invite stronger discipline.
