Failure Can Be Fuel for Growth Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. That's how you find out what you're all about. But that's okay, you don't have to succeed at everything. As a matter of fact, failing at times is part of the growth and will endear you to your audience even more because now you're relatable. You know, Oprah's audience rises when she had her show. It would increase and decrease with her weight. When she was heavier, she had a higher audience. When she would lose weight, it would go down a bit. She was more relatable when she was struggling with her weight to the...

Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO—just a little over a one-minute investment every day for a lifetime of results. Let’s talk about systems. A true system is when an activity—or group of activities—can run without your direct involvement. That’s when you know you've built something sustainable. Remember back in the discovery process, we said every job and every industry has its own personality? Over time, each role in your business starts to take on its own rhythm and identity. That’s a good thing—it’s the sign of a maturing company. By nature, systems are...
info_outlineWhat is your real resume? Carl Gould shares the secret in this micro-podcast - #70secondCEO. A quick daily hit with Carl to achieve a lifetime of results. #70secondCEO your micro-podcast...GO!
Hi Everyone, Carl Gould here your #70secondCEO, just over a minute of investment per day for a lifetime of results.
Think about this. Here's how to build your resume- and I'm not talking about the resume that you type out, put on a piece of paper and show up on an interview with. The whole world is on to that. I mean, depending on what you read, 70% of what's on your written paper resume is thought to be exaggerated, or flat out not true. I mean, think about it, you've seen resume. If your resume was actually true, you wouldn't be looking for a job, right? There's no way that person on that piece of paper would ever be looking for work. So what happens now, we live in a digital world. So people go on to your social media accounts- be it Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, you know, Pinterest, whatever the site is at the time, and that's where they find out what you're really like. That's your real resume.
And so somebody taught me a long time ago. They said to me, “Carl, remember this. Nobody cares what you think. They only care what you know, and they only care what you've done.” That's it. Everybody's got an opinion, they're worth 2 cents like another part of our anatomy and everyone's got one. But not everybody knows stuff and not everybody has done stuff. You need to know stuff, you need to do stuff.
Like and follow this podcast so you can learn more, my name is Carl Gould and this has been your #70secondCEO.
