Exmormonology

When you start down the yellow brick road of your inquiries into mormonism, you could never have imagined what was coming. As humans, we fear the unknown. We want and crave certainty. We probably do not even think about it much because we just assume we have a certain level of control over our lives. Nothing like a religious faith crisis to show you how much you want certainty in your life. Our brains hate uncertainty. We try to avoid it at all costs and we panic when we do not have it.

Mormons and Modesty and Garments show art Mormons and Modesty and Garments

Exmormonology

Exmormonology Ep. 32 is all about Modesty. Mormon conditioning around modesty runs deep. We were taught that girls and women, are responsible for the thoughts boys/men may have about our bodies. Mix religious conditioning and society messages and we have the perfect cocktail for fucked up body image, shame and mental torture we put on ourselves, to hide ourselves. We spend so much time trying to make sure we are covered up, that we end up covering up our authentic self.
