It's Hard, So What
Life isn’t supposed to be easy, it is supposed to be yours. This week, we are continuing the conversation from last week’s episode, Trusting Yourself, Again. We talked about taking small steps toward the life you actually want. In this episode, we go a little deeper, because no matter what you choose, there is going to be some kind of hard. It is hard to stay stuck. It is hard to be depressed. It is hard to feel anxiety. It is hard to face the unknown. So what if “hard” isn’t a reason to stop? What if it is a sign you are alive and moving toward something that matters? Let’s talk about choosing your hard and trusting yourself through it. I would love to work with you. You can choose how you would like to work with me. I have three options and all are amazing. You can check that all out here... https://www.amyloganlife.com/workwithme

It is simpler than you think and more powerful than you imagine.

A Life Created From Desire, Not Defense
Inspired by Mandy Patinkin’s famous Princes Bride quote, this episode explores what it means to live after the struggle, after the heartache, after healing. “I’ve been in the revenge business so long, now that it is over, I don’t know what to do with the rest of my life.” What happens when the struggle is over, when the story you have lived by for so long, no longer fits? Amy Logan, certified coach and creator of The Wildflower Sessions, invites you into an honest conversation about identity, release and the power of choosing peace after pain. A Meditation: Quieting The Noise
Hey Wildflower, As we move into September, I want to help you lessen your worry and ruminating ways. It is so easy to get caught up in worry and then ruminate over all the things that can go wrong in life. This way of handling your life's worries often becomes a habit. It is possible to break that habit and learn healthier ways of dealing with life's difficult emotions. Let's start our month with another meditation, to slow down and increase your quiet mind. It is possilbe to quiet your mind, you just need to be in awarenss of the round and round of your own brain. Once you see it, you can do something about it. Each week this month, we will be working on how to reduce the stress and anxiety caused by worry and rumination. But, for today, let's sit still for a few moments and connect with your mind and body. amyloganlife.com

The In Between PT. 2
In this second part of The In Between, we go deeper into the space between where you have been and where you are going, the place that feels messy, uncertain and full of doubt. This is where decisions are made, boundaries are set and enforced and uncomfortable feelings rise up asking to be felt. Some call it limbo, but I believe it is more than that, it is a fertile pause, the ground where healing takes root and trust begins to grow. In this episode, we will talk about how to sit with the muck, allow yourself to feel and still hold space for the life that is waiting for you on the other side. If you are navigating your own In Between, this conversation will remind you that you are not stuck you are just in The In Between. amyloganlife.com

The In Between
08/22/2025
The In Between
I have been captivated by the concept of The In Between, that mysterious space between enduring your pain and trauma and fully moving forward. It is a place where it is easy to get stuck in familiar patterns of suffering, because they have become uncomfortably comfortable. Pain can feel like an old snugle blanket you have held onto for years and letting go feels strange, even a little like losing yourself. But The In Between is also where transformation happens. It is where you begin to truly integrate all the tools you have learned along the way: setting boundaries, speaking up for yourself, saying no and meaning it, being gentle with yourself and leaning fully into your feelings. It can feel scary to step into this space, but it is also so magical. It is here, in the tension between what was and what can be, that you learn to trust yourself and your healing. Come with me as I explore this fascinating, powerful and sometimes uncomfortable place, The In Between. linktr.ee/amyloganlife

A Meditation: The In Between
08/11/2025
A Meditation: The In Between
As we move through August, I want to talk about what I am calling "The In Between." The in between of pain/trauma/struggles and healing and truly moving through it all to get to the place of living the life you want. It is tricky because you are so used to our pain/trauma/struggles that you may not really know who you are without it. Who are you without high levels of anxiety? Who are you without thinking about how you have been wronged? Who are you without the rumination and worry of your pain? The worry and rumination keep you tethered to your pain. Learning to move through it all takes time and practice. If you find yourself clinging to your pain, don't worry, it is actually a good sign if you can see that you do that. As you reflect on your own journey, tune into this meditation and let your body relax and connect with your higher self. You have to slow down the noise of life to see if you are stuck in your old ways. They are familiar to you, so it makes sense that you cling. Even uncomfortable feels comfortable sometimes. It can feel very scary to set down this piece of you, the old you, the one that was so in her pain that she could see no way out, to the you that can see a way out, but your identity and stories and way of being, keep you locked into the only way of being you know. This in between is such a scary place to be. However, if you lean into trusting yourself, a whole new world will open up for you. Are you wiling to build your "trusting yourself" muscle? This is the place where all the magic happens.

Self Confidence & The Model

Self Confidence & The Model
I have been sitting with a lot of emotions, like many of you, I am sure. The state of the world right now is heavy, overwhelming and a bit surreal. Before we dive into today’s topic, I wanted to share some thoughts on that, because pretending everything is “normal” just doesn’t feel right. Times are tough right now and this tells me that the work I do in the world is important. The work I do, the tools and my coaching, combine to help you not get pulled under by the weight of everything happening in the USA and the world right now. Viktor Frankl was an Austrian neurologist, psychologist, philosopher and Holocaust survivor. I can't help but think of his words right now, as what we are experiencing feels similar. Viktor taught us that no one can take away the way we think and our attitude about our life. When I think of the unimaginable horror that he lived through, and millions of others, his words give me hope and a reminder to make sure we tend to your mind and heart. And THIS is the reason I will continue doing my work, even though times feel very heavy. And then, once we have grounded in that reality, I want to take us somewhere deeper, into the heart of self confidence. Not the kind that is all surface level pep talk, but the real kind. The kind that grows quietly from trusting yourself and having your own back, no matter what is happening outside of you. I also want to introduce you to, or remind you, of one of my favorite coaching tools. I am going to walk you through my thought model, a tool to help you see how your thoughts create your life. I know it is much more complicated than that, but, let’s start there. I can and will help you learn to manage your mind and heart, Wildflower. This is what I do. I would love to work with you and help you through these times. Reach out via my website or email me amy@amyloganlife.com

The Place Between Self Doubt & Self Trust

The Place Between Self Doubt & Self Trust
The space between self doubt and self trust can be a very hard place to be. In this final episode of this trusting yourself series, we are diving into the emotional habits that keep you stuck and how to step into the role of observer so you can change them. Do you know how you habitually respond to stress? Trauma? Most of us don’t. And when we are unaware, we keep reacting the same way, over and over. This is the place of feeling stuck. It can be a difficult place to live. Limbo is never fun. Today we talk about recognizing your default emotional responses, getting comfortable feeling hard emotions, without drowning in them, the difference between processing and indulging And how to navigate the in between space, that tender place where you are not quite trusting yourself yet, but you are no longer ignoring your truth either. This is about building emotional awareness so you can choose differently and trust yourself. More deeply, one moment at a time.

Trust Yourself, A Meditation
This week on the Soul Searching Girl podcast we are slowing things way down, with a trust yourself meditation. As you move through your healing, connecting with your body isn’t just helpful, it is essential. So often, we stay in our heads, trying to think our way to peace. However, true healing happens when you learn to feel your way there. Each month, I will be exploring a new theme, and once a month, I will guide you through a meditation to anchor that theme into your body and your nervous system. So, Wildflower, find a soft place. Somewhere you can be alone. Sit up. Be still. Let’s reconnect with your body, the one that has been waiting for you to come home.

Soul Searching Girl

Soul Searching Girl
In 2012, I started a Youtube Channel called Soul Searching Girl. At the time, I was stumbling through the aftermath of Mormonism, hurt, feeling betrayed, terrified and yet searching. I wanted other like me to know they weren’t alone, that there was life on the other side of faith crisis and that healing was possible. It became a space of honesty, curiosity and connection. Years later, I shifted my focus, but the soul searching never stopped. It created new spaces, explored new ideas and walk with countless men and women through their own messy middles. But now, I am coming back to my roots, back to where this began. Today, Soul Searching Girl has grown with me. While my work isn’t solely about mormonism anymore, religious trauma, patriarchy, and the weight of conditioning will always be threads in my story and in the stories of many who find me here. This podcast is for every woman standing in her own In Between: after the unraveling, before the rebuilding, wondering who she really is without the rules, the roles and the noise. Here, we talk about healing old wounds, trusting yourself again and embracing who you have truly always been before patriarchy, before the silencing, before the doubt. We explore boundaries, self trust, feminism, joy and the courage to feel your feelings instead of running from them. Soul Searching Girl is not about age. It is about spirit. It is the part of you that is curious, rebellious and free, the part of you that refuses to stop searching for truth. So, if you are ready to step out of the old story and come home to yourself, you are in the right place. Welcome to Soul Searching Girl. Exmormonology ~ Is Healing An Illusion?
About a month or so ago, a friend, a former Jehovah Witness friend, asked me a really great question, Is Healing An Illusion? I loved this questiong so much that I created a podcast around it. Let's dive into when healing does feel like an illusion and why and what you can do about it so you do not get stuck in the pain of reliving your pain/trauma again and again and again. There is healing in telling/sharing your story, it can be freeing in just doing that, sharing, telling your story to a therapist or friend. Does your story come out the same way again and again? Do you judge yourself for not having "healed" faster? Is there a time limit on when you are supposed to be healed? In this episode I deep dive into the concept of healing and what we think it should look like and what healing actually looks like AND how you can be an active participant to your own healing, possibly speeding up the process. If you feel like you are on an emotional roller coaster of emotions all the time or that your healing is taking way too long, then this episode of Exmormonology is a very important one for you to listen to Wildflower.

Come be a fly on the wall while we discuss it all. Exmormonology ~ A Conversation w/ Allison Crow
I am excited to share with all y'all wildflowers a conversation I have with my friend and fellow coach Allison Crow. Allison just released her new book Unarmored: Finding Home in the Wild Edges of Being Human. Allison was raised a devout Christian in the south, Texas. Although not raised mormon, Allison has experienced her own faith crisis. I know you will love our discussion and we ebb and flow about life and heartbreak and healing and busting out of the "being a made up woman my religion taught me to be," type of thinking. Allison Crow, M.Ed, is a Life and Self-Leadership coach for small business owners and executives. She has been leading, teaching, speaking, writing, creating, and coaching in one form or another since the mid-1990s. For years, she was a hard-lined performance and sales coach motivated by outside forces and an excruciating need for approval. Now, instead of being driven by hard financial goals and lifeless quotas, Allison has an unconventional and connected practice where delicious and thought provoking conversations are centered around meeting yourself deeply. She helps her clients compassionately work with emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that are natural but often bypassed parts of our human selves. Allison specializes in IFS-informed coaching, deep inner work, creative expression, and building the skills of courageous emotional presence and self-trust. Allison lives in the hill country outside of Austin, Texas, with her husband of fifteen years and her rescued dogs, Leroy Brown and Clementine. She is often seen with a stack of journals, a paintbrush and watercolors, with her phone in her hand, creating and connecting on social media, or floating in the backyard pool she calls her “church.” https://allisoncrow.com/unarmoredthebook/

Exmormon Thoughts & Things & Stuff

Exmormon Thoughts & Things & Stuff
The title of this Exmormonology Episode sums up this week's episode, it is a little bit all over the place, but as you listen I have a feeling you will understand. I tap into some pretty tender emotions and I want to share them with you in hopes that you can relate and see and hear what healing sounds like. Healing does not mean you have landed at the top of healing mountain where rainbows and butterflies live forever and ever and you dance around in gleeful joy and you no longer feel grief, pain or heartache. It means that you learn to hold the space for the tender side of healing and you do not make it mean that anything has gone wrong or that you are not healing. Healing ebbs and flows. Healing takes time. Remember wildflower, there is no rush and no race to this process. Just you and all the time you need. Thank you for letting me walk this path with you. Grab a cup a something and a blanket and maybe even a tissue and let's talk, you and me.
