Hi Everyone, Carl Gould here your #70secondCEO, just over a minute of investment per day for a lifetime of results.
Here's one of the things I learned, probably the first week I was in business. When I started my landscaping company, I was fresh out of months on a couch at my mom's house and physical therapy, and I just get started. I go out to my very first appointment and I won it. I was like, “Yes, great!” That was a Thursday. Next day is Friday, and I got that one too. I'm like, “Wow, screw accounting and finance. That must be landscaping must be this gig here.” 2 days later is Monday and I got my 3rd appointment and I won that one also. 3 in a row, 3 for 3. And I'm like, “Ok, maybe I was blessed with the landscaping DNA, the contracting god shone down upon me, so don't even bother trying to start a business in this area. I got it.” Called my Dad up, I say, “Dad I'm 3 for 3.” He said, “Congratulations!”He said, “Did you ask any of them why they said yes?” And in my head I'm thinking, “Why would I do that ‘coz I already have the job?” but I'm like, “Good one, Dad!” And he said, “So if you know why they said Yes. you can duplicate it.”
