For the 42 years I lived and worked in Liberia; West Africa, the climate was hot and hotter with high humidity which I adjusted to much better than most Americans do.  However, in 1985, we came to the States for my husband to begin his Ph.D.  I was only 37 years old.

The joints in my hips and knees were painful whenever the weather got cold and I learned that I had arthritis.   I soon learned my body liked the climate in West Africa better than the USA.  I returned to the States to reside here in the fall of 2015.  By 2017, my spine, hips, and knees were really hurting and I went to a highly recommended spine surgeon.

I did not feel comfortable taking the opioids the doctor prescribed.  He said the only alternative was surgery and he could not guarantee I would walk if he did the surgery.  That’s when I decided to take my new friend’s advice and see Dr. Weaver.  After Dr. Weaver’s adjustments, advised supplements, and diet, I gradually experienced less and less pain.

I did well until I woke up the Saturday morning before Christmas and I was in so much pain that I could not even get out of bed to go to the bathroom without the help of my two college-age granddaughters, who were spending their Christmas break with me.

My body reacted negatively to anything I tried to take to reduce the pain.  Mid January Dr. Weave presented a program on Regenerative Cellular Therapy and although I did not completely understand how this would work, I knew I had to try it as I was looking for something to reduce my pain.

For me, Regenerative Cellular Therapy was a miracle.  Because of the extreme pain, I was in at Christmas and months after, I was encouraged to see a pain management doctor, who also happened to be a spine specialist.

When he saw my  MRI he said that surgery could only give me temporary pain relief and so I concluded that I would be in pain for the rest of my life.  I was eating a noninflammatory diet and yet I was in a lot of pain.  What seemed to work before no longer seemed to work for me prior to this, was now not working.  I was very discouraged.

I realize that Regenerative Cellular Treatment is still in the testing stage, but since it helped me when Spine specialists said they could not help me, I do promote that to others that have severe degenerative osteoarthritis.
