The Moral Imperative To Protect Innocent Unborn Children. The Abortion Clock. Counting The Omer
Release Date: 07/19/2020
Jewish Pro-Life
The holiday of Shavuos, when Jews celebrate the anniversary of receiving the Torah at Mt. Sinai. To prepare for this holy day, we highlight the miracle of life, given by the Almighty Creator who gave us the holy book of life, the Torah. We shared about the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) providing 1000 free abortions last year. If the Israeli government only offers killing Jewish children as the solution to unplanned pregnancy, we need to provide outreach for adoption and pregnancy care to these parents.

Bonnie Chernin, Liz Gabert, and Alice Lemos join me to talk about being Jewish and pro-life. We share about when and why we identified as pro-life and our experiences sharing our message within and outside the Jewish community. Rabbi Shlomo Nachman sits down for an interview to talk about his outspoken defense of life. Rabbi Nachman speaks freely about the abortion issue with us just as he does with his congregation in his online shul, BeitEmunah.org. Rabbi Nachman joined our board of directors in the fall of 2019 and has been an invaluable resource for rabbinical counseling for abortion minded Jewish women as well as Jewish women who suffer after abortion.

W delve into the tragedy of the loss of Jewish life in Israel due to abortion. The Israel Defense are tasked with safeguarding Jewish life in Israel, but currently it provides unlimited contraception and abortions to its service members, resulting in 1000 abortions per year, killing more Jews than does its enemies . We share about Efrat, a pregnancy care organization in Israel, and for the need for a pro-life educational movement in Israel to introduce a life affirming view of gestational children.

We explore the spiritual and religious problems posed by the pro-abortion Jewish majority and why this contributes to Jews converting to messianic Judaism and Catholicism. We start by sharing an article from Jews for Judaism that examines the need for rabbis to increase outreach efforts to Jews vulnerable to persuasive conversion efforts by messianic converts. We share about the many pro-life Jews who convert out of Judaism into Christian religions because they cannot accept pro-abortion Judaism.

We highlight the spiritual and earthly rewards that naturally result from following HaShem's guidance, and the existential misery that results from following the secular influences around us. Many blessings arise from saving innocent pre-born children from abortion, especially an inner peace and happiness knowing we protected that which is precious in the Creator's eyes. Conversely, regret, sorrow, despair, rage, bewilderment and fear occur when we separate ourselves from God, the source of love and light.

We interview Bonnie Chernin, founder of Jewish Life League, an online Jewish resource providing information and resources of traditional and authentic pro-life Judaism.

This episode examines when abortion was weaponized against Jews in ghettos in Nazi occupied territories. Under threat that the mothers would be killed unless the abortions took place, rabbis agreed to allow this violation of the Torah's prohibition of abortion to save the mothers' lives. The 'save the mother's life exception' to the prohibition of abortion in Judaism is commonly misused to this day to allow killing children in the womb, despite that abortion rarely poses a threat to a mother's life.

Positive stories about successful outcomes for children born prematurely at 22 weeks gestation and even younger. Colorado failed to pass a ban on late term abortion (8 states already allow abortion up to birth). Louisiana passed a state constitution amendment that prohibits abortion. Covid-19 vaccine developed without using cells from aborted babies. Viability from a scientific and halachic perspective, and amazing pictures that shine a light on the actual status of 10 week and 22 week babies in the womb.

W share beautiful life affirming messages from two righteous rabbis who provide Torah based arguments against the utilitarian approach to medicine taken by the UK National Health Service.
info_outlineIn this episode, we study the text of today's Torah portion, so relevant to our work at the Foundation. Exodus 23:2, You shall not follow the majority for evil, and you shall not respond concerning a lawsuit to follow many to pervert [justice]. And, Exodus 23:7, Distance yourself from a false matter; and do not kill a truly innocent person or one who has been declared innocent, for I will not vindicate a guilty person. Unborn children are completely innocent, and abortion is evil, yet, the majority of Jews believe pro-abortion propaganda. Through our educational efforts we hope to change hearts and minds. We look at the abortion clock, which keeps count of the number of abortions. These numbers are staggering, both in the US and worldwide.
We study Power Point slide #54 The Moral Imperative Death Penalty, and slide #55 Justice For All. We close the episode with Rabbi Nachman's Omer count mediation on lovingkindness. Aired 4/13/20.
