info_outline The biggest mistake I made about NeurodiversityThe Freelancer's Tea Break
Welcome to the Freelancer’s Teabreak, and this ADHD freelance coach is about to share with you a big mistake I’ve made with neurodiversity. This week is Neurodiversity Celebration Week. The thing is...I talk about having ADHD a LOT. Too much probably. So I thought instead I’d share the biggest lesson I’ve learnt about neurodiversity, and what what it actually covers - and why I won’t be calling myself a neurodiversity coach. The trouble is that if you overpromise, you're on a road to burnout, and you've left yourself with no wiggle room to wow your client. But if you under promise and over deliver (especially with deadlines!) you're giving yourself room to go above and beyond their...
info_outlineThis week, I have a guest on the podcast - Berenice Smith. Berenice has been a member of the Freelance Lifestylers FB group for a while, and she's been a support to so many in the group - but especially those who are childless not through choice.
In this episode, we talk about Berenice's freelance journey, the language and actions we can take to be more inclusive of those who are childless, and the support out there for those who are childless, whether that's by choice or not. The tweaks she's suggesting are small but powerful, and I'd really recommend taking the time to listen to this episode (plus Berenice is an absolute delight!)
