Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In this episode, Marsha breaks down one of the most powerful metaphors she’s ever heard about the subconscious mind. If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing everything right — checking the boxes, setting goals, mapping the plan — yet still not seeing the results you want, this one is going to hit home. Using the imagery of a state of the art GPS (your conscious mind) sitting on top of an outdated paper road map (your subconscious mind), Marsha explains why your inner operating systems must match if you want real, lasting change. She walks you through why we get stuck, why the...

Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In this episode, I challenge the notion that healing must be a heavy, burdensome experience. Instead, I advocate for a lighter approach, where we can learn to feel our emotions without being overwhelmed by them. Throughout the episode, I discuss the concept of nervous system regulation and how it plays a crucial role in our healing journey. I explain that healing does not necessitate a complete pause in our lives; rather, it involves training our minds to respond differently to triggers and challenges. By embracing emotions and learning to navigate them, we can create a sense of safety and...

#279: Why Your Story Matters

In this "Monday mindset'' episode, I am sharing some lessons I have learned over the past few years why our story matters.  When we are going through difficult times we tend to retreat from the world and hide.  It is our way of avoiding being hurt, judged, criticized or even being seen.  Living this way provides no solutions or changes. When we are open to seeing that our stories, experiences and lessons make us who we are and who we are becoming, we can truly find and create freedom in our lives. This is one of my fav quotes, “You’re not a victim for sharing your story.  You are a survivor setting the world on fire with your truth. And you never know who needs your light, your warmth and your raging courage.” Alex Elle

In today’s episode we discuss:
1) Our stories all matter because we all matter.  Everyone has something to contribute, share and give in this world and our stories create who we are and who we are becoming.  They make a massive impact in our lives and the sooner we acknowledge that, the sooner we can be on the path to being “free” from the weight of our stories.

2) Seeing our stories differently requires learning to stand ON your story instead of IN it.  The reason why it feels like your story doesn't matter is because you are continuing to live in it. When we are stuck in our story, we are on a repeat cycle of frustration, comparison, resentment, anger and victimhood.  No change comes from this cycle.

3) Our stories connect us, remind us that we are human and not alone.  We all crave human connections, and we are connected by our stories, our pain and our emotions.  Shifting this allows us to give our power back to ourselves and not the story.

4) Is there a purpose or a reason for your story?  How is it nudging you to become the person you were meant to become? Finding a purpose in our stories, realizing that it is not all about us anymore can create a massive shift in our healing and our energy.
