info_outlineSong of Songs 1: 6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.
In 1 Sam 6 is a sad story of The House of The Rising Sun - Bethshemesh. There is the stone of mourning, The Stone of Abel - black from mourning which is phenominally connected to Genesis 4; that Cain had toiled under the sun by plowing his field according to Josephus to gain by his merit not God's like his brother Abel. The result is black and mourning.
As anyone who reads Solomon knows he talks a lot about under the sun, which clearly is teaching us not to worship the sun or our day by day accomplishments. That is just one of the many lessons here. I share some of my story as well as other understanding of this verse. That we may see the Statutes.
