Key Takeaways:
-
The word Ayurveda is a conjugation of two words: 'ayus', meaning 'life' and 'veda', meaning 'science'. Ayurveda is defined as the science of how to live your life, and your mind, body, and spirit play a role in Ayurveda.
-
The three doshas of Ayurveda are vata, kapha, and pitta. It is possible to be a combination of two or even all three of these doshas, and there are tests to determine which one a person is.
-
Part of optimizing your microbiome health is reconditioning the gut by strategically weeding things out, and then taking probiotics appropriately.
