We all know Mike loves a good small local race so we drove down to the to experience and cover it for the first time! This race is 3.3 miles long with mud and over 20 obstacles. We knew that but we had no idea the extent to which the event has benefitted members of the adaptive community for the past 10 years. In the last decade the Gaylord Gauntlet 5k has raised over $800,000 for the Gaylord Sports Association which provides adaptive sports for individuals with physical and visual disabilities, as well as our Military Veterans. You'll hear from athletes with disabilities (AWDs),...

When started getting into some big Spartan Races a few years ago it got a lot of us who have been in the sport for a long time pretty excited! This is because many of us remember who is almost always in the conversation of who historically is one of the best men in the sport of OCR. is his own own athlete though, and I didn't want to have him on the show just to talk about his dad. It didn't take long for him to start to make a name for himself though, and it quickly became more of an issue of having an open weekend for the show and have him on for his own episode. Following his...

info_outlineThis year may have had FISO's first OCR World Championships but we still love Adventurey's weekend long OCRWC event as well! The past couple of years we have had an episode before the event as a way to build up more anticipation for it, 2021 we had Veejay Jones on the show before event weekend, and last year we had Fran Chiorando on!
Of course there was the news that came out about Spartan Race's aquisition of the event so we figured that Adrian Bijanada would be great to both answer community questions and build some excitement up for what will assuredly be an excellent weekend!
We discuss what brought about this change, his role in the event weekend moving forward, the history of water obstacles in Adventurey's previous events, and much more!
