About Andrew Holmes:
Andrew Holmes graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and a minor in Economics. In August, he started his career with Gosling’s Limited in Bermuda at the age of 22. Early in 2003, Andrew relocated to Canada to develop Gosling’s Black Seal Rum in a brand-new market. He lived in Toronto and Halifax, traveling extensively across Canada, before returning to Bermuda in 2005, where he now resides.
In March 2021, Andrew was asked to join the Board of Directors for Goslings Export, making him the only non-Gosling family member to hold a seat. With over two decades of experience working for the Gosling family, Andrew has been involved in all aspects of the business, from rum production and supply chain management to developing marketing strategies, event management, brand advocacy, and public relations.
Andrew works closely with the Bermuda sales team, driving Gosling’s Rum across the island. He consults with local establishments on beverage programs, creates signature cocktails, and trains staff. Gosling’s Rum is an essential ingredient for the majority of occasions on the island, including cultural holidays, performing arts, sporting, and social events.
The export market for Gosling’s Rum has grown significantly in recent years, and so has the team. Andrew strategizes with the global team and serves as a valuable resource to international distribution partners. He attends trade shows and events, often donning the traditional Bermuda shorts, knee socks, and blazer.
