Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In this episode, I am sharing the message of manifestation combined with NLP.  I am currently reading "Mind Magic" by Dr. James Doty, a neurosurgeon who explores the science behind manifesting and how our brains function. His insights have resonated with me, especially as he outlines a six-step process for manifesting anything you want. I share these steps through the Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) lens, hoping to provide a fresh perspective that might resonate with you. Bring your pen and paper. This is a packed episode.  The six steps broken down in this episode are: 1. Reclaim...

Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In this episode, I dive into the concept of our daily thoughts and how they shape the narrative of our lives. I start by sharing a striking statistic: we have between 60,000 and 80,000 thoughts daily, with 80% to 90% being repetitive and predominantly negative. This realization led me to a powerful metaphor: if we write a book in our minds daily, what kind of book are we writing? What is your "daily book" revealing about you?  Are the thoughts uplifting and empowering, or do they serve to tear you down? What would someone learn about you if they read the book of their thoughts from that...

This brain dump technique can lead to surprising revelations about our inner dialogue, often exposing feelings and beliefs we may not consciously...

Own Your Choices Own Your Life

As we kick off this short Friday episode, I introduce a tool that I wish I had understood much earlier in my journey. The key takeaway? To truly create results in your life, you must first feel it before you see it. I discuss the importance of cultivating a sense of safety within your body to hold the goals you desire. Many of my clients come in with big dreams, but when I ask them how it would feel if those dreams were realized today, they often express feelings of fear and unpreparedness. This reaction stems from the subconscious mind's primary job: to keep us safe. I emphasize that stepping...

I reflect on my own journey of writing my solo book, "When She Stopped Asking Why," which I began in 2016 and published in 2017. This experience led me to create the "Write Your Damn Book" mastermind, aimed at providing the support I wished I had during my writing process. More Episodes

In this episode, I reflect on the whirlwind of November and the profound journey I've experienced over the past seven years since the release of my book, "When She Stopped Asking Why." As we approach the end of 2024, I find myself in a space of both humility and challenge, grappling with personal issues that have led me to moments of burnout. Despite these struggles, I take a moment to celebrate the anniversary of my book, recognizing the growth and changes I've undergone since its release.

I dive into the essence of my book, which emerged from a desire to shift my perspective on my life experiences. The title itself encapsulates a pivotal moment in my journey—moving away from victimhood and embracing the lessons learned from my past. I share the backstory of writing the book during a tumultuous time, emphasizing that it was more than just a project; it was a means of processing my emotions and experiences.

Throughout the episode, I discuss the challenges of becoming an author, the pressure I placed on myself, and the healing that unfolded as I shared my story. I highlight the importance of vulnerability in writing and the necessity of overcoming the fear of judgment from others. I encourage listeners to recognize that their stories matter and can significantly impact others who may be struggling with similar challenges.

As I reflect on my journey, I acknowledge the mistakes made along the way, including the editing process that revealed errors even at the last minute. However, I emphasize that perfection is not the goal; it's about sharing our authentic selves and the lessons we've learned. I invite listeners to celebrate their past selves and the growth they've achieved, even amidst ongoing challenges.

Looking ahead, I express my excitement for the future and the work I am doing to help others share their stories. I announce an upcoming audio-based program that will guide aspiring authors through the process of writing and publishing their books, aiming to demystify the journey and empower them to embrace their voices.

If you are ready to learn these tools, techniques and methods for changing your beliefs, thoughts and stories, I invite you into the OUTSPOKEN NLP Coaching Certification.
