What we’re Enjoying

Shua has been diving into Dungeon Crawler Carl, a wildly entertaining fantasy adventure recommended by listener Tim. Combining tabletop RPGs, video games, dark humor, and a talking cat named Princess Donut, the series follows Carl as he battles through a deadly dungeon that's broadcast across the galaxy as a reality show. The unique premise and fast-paced storytelling made it an easy recommendation, and Shua is looking forward to continuing the series. Jay has been revisiting Marvel's Netflix shows Luke Cage and Iron Fist while adding even more filming locations to MCU Location Scout. Luke Cage follows Harlem's bulletproof hero protecting his neighborhood from crime, while Iron Fist tells the story of billionaire Danny Rand returning with mystical martial arts abilities after years away. Although Iron Fist didn't quite live up to expectations, Jay enjoyed revisiting both series and expanding the MCU Location Scout database.

MCULocationScout.com is Jay's ongoing project documenting and exploring real-world filming locations used throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe and related Marvel television productions. Through detailed research, photos, and travel guides, fans can discover where their favorite Marvel moments were filmed. Along the way, they celebrate the pioneers who made it all possible, including Industrial Light & Magic, Pixar's founders, James Cameron, George Lucas, and Ed Catmull, while exploring how CGI evolved from obvious visual spectacles into the nearly invisible effects that modern audiences rarely even notice. It's a fun, nostalgic look at one of the biggest technological revolutions in movie history.
