From www.sbs.com.au:
A 12-year-old boy caught up in a US school shooting has revealed he armed himself with a baseball bat because he wanted to "go down fighting".
Sixth-grader Nate Holley was at STEM School Highlands Ranch in Denver on Tuesday when two students opened fire in the school, killing one and injuring eight others.
"I had my hand on a metal baseball bat just in case," Nate told CNN. "Because I was going to go down fighting if I was going to go down."
From www.nytimes.com:
It was three days before the last day of school, and the students inside Ms. Harper’s English classroom were whiling away the last period of the day watching “The Princess Bride” when one of their classmates walked in late and pulled out a gun.
“The only thing he said out loud to the students was, ‘Don’t you move,’” said Nui Giasolli, an 18-year-old senior who was in the class at the time.
From www.cnn.com:
When a gunman opened fire in a University of North Carolina at Charlotte classroom, sending people diving for cover and rushing toward a door, student Riley Howell charged and knocked into the shooter, police say.
Howell died for his efforts, shot by the gunman he rushed. But he was the "first and foremost hero" in bringing Tuesday evening's shooting to an end, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney said.
"He took the fight to the assailant," Putney said Wednesday. "Unfortunately, he had to give his life to do so, but he saved lives doing so."
From www.breitbart.com:
Alleged Colorado school shooter Devon Erickson is reported to be a registered Democrat who praised Obama in social media posts.
Heavy reports that Erickson is a Democrat and “shared posts criticizing Donald Trump and praising Barack Obama.”
Erickson used a Facebook post to express opposition to Christians: “You know what I hate? All these Christians who hate gays, yet in the bible, it says in Deuteronomy 17:12-13, if someone doesn’t do what their priest tells them to do, they are supposed to die. It has plenty of crazy stuff like that. But all they get out of it is ‘ewwwwww gays.’”
