Some comic book origins this week: Jack gives us a little backstory for Vanessa Brooks before diving into Debra Whitman's comic counterpart: a tale of gaslighting, psychotic episodes, and a few reasons to not date Peter Parker. That 90s Spider-Man Show

Extra cut convo from our recent episode for being too darn long a tangent. Finally... we can get Victor Von Doom, the romani man who used science and sorcery to become Marvel's greatest villain put to page, can be done right. OR we could cast Robert Downey Jr, because that is the safest ($80 million) bet. The big news from Marvel out of SDCC this year was that RDJ has been cast as ol' Doom. Well, we don't like it! We have plenty of reasons to be sceptical, so maybe skip this one if you don't want to hear two guys get pedantic about your favourite actor being cast. Maybe people who like...

“And then Spider-Man took Scorpion to the diaper factory”  Season 4 Episode 5 of Spider-Man: The Animated Series is “Partners” After a break between episodes due to some non-neogenic life events, Henry and Jack are back to talk about maybe the most outrageous episode of the show so far. Season 3 Episode 11: Carnage

Recap – 10:00
Review – 46:30
Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer talk – 52:46

This episode is a non-stop train to crazytown, so after a quick foray into a gameshow of Jack’s invention, we’re talking hipster demon lairs, cosmic sibling rivalries, symbiote peer pressure and psychic exposition.

This episode closes off the Carnage two-parter as Cletus racks up 6 stars in GTA, while Jack make up for their own confusion with plenty of references to The Simpsons, Book of Henry, Zardoz and Wishmaster. Just to make it even. Then we have a quick chat about that new trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage… and a moment of silence for Woody Harrelson’s wig.

Comic panels and additional notes.

A podcast for no one. If we get anything wrong, a wizard did it.
