Life experience is the greatest teacher. On the subject of fear and transformation, today’s guest is an expert. JR Covey was suddenly taken to the threshold of faith and transformation while drunk with a friend in a bar. With a pocket full of elicit drugs, JR began his journey toward a more principled life and ultimately toward facing everyone’s worst enemy: fear. He left his old ways behind and went back to school to become a Psychologist.
Fear comes in many forms and JR has dedicated his life to helping people get to the root of their fears and overcome them. He founded the program Fearproof to help people navigate the obscurity that fear creates in the mind and that holds people back from truly living. He and his wife have been operating Fearproof since 2015. “Our goal is to help people recognize, they have authority over the stories they tell themselves. And if the story you’re telling yourself isn’t benefitting you, change the story.” They've taken Fearproof from America to Europe. They’ve also contributed to efforts to rescue girls out of human trafficking.
