Strap in, folks. This is our longest episode to date because there is A LOT to talk about with season 2 of Interview with the Vampire. Unfortunately, Rachael had a hard time getting into this season because the actors were just not pretty enough. /sarcasm Though, it did honestly take Evelyn a few episodes to really get into it. The only complaint any of us have is that Evelyn had a hard time connecting with the actors a bit because of the contact lenses. But overall, the series really is wonderful. The Claudia and Madeleine relationship might be one of the most tragic things...

How would you survive if you had to live in a bunker? Find out as we discuss Season 1 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. We’re gonna be honest, this conversation wanders a little bit but we still have fun! This show is just so fun and happy, which is a little odd considering the rather serious subject matter. We love how all of the characters are written. Especially Kimmy. It would be very easy to make her just an idiot. But while she’s naive, she is not stupid. The one thing we do wonder about is Jane Krakowski’s character being written as a Native American. We’re sure there’s a reason...

Whodunnit?? This month, we podcast about a show that’s about a podcast as we discuss Season 1 of Only Murders in the Building. Rachael and Evelyn really like this show. For Kerri, it was just okay. She would have preferred to be let in on what was actually going on earlier, and then watching the team figure it out would still have been engaging. We do like the relationship between Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. They are a lot of fun together. Jane Lynch being Steve Martin’s stunt double might be one of the best things that happened on this show. The article mentioned by...

Squid Game has finally come to an end with season 3 (2.5??). But was it satisfying? It certainly wasn’t what we were expecting. First of all, WHAT IS CATE BLANCHETT DOING IN SQUID GAME??? As awesome as that is and as much as there is potential for worldwide Squid Games, we don’t need any more. We’re good with this show being it. The VIPs are still just awkward, and they really don’t need to speak. Just having them be a looking presence would have been enough. We really feel for Gyeong-seok. How do you return to your life after going through such an experience? Especially,...

We visit the Korean afterlife this month as we watch the 2022 Netflix K-Drama, Tomorrow. TRIGGER WARNING: This show deals heavily with themes of suicide and sexual assault. Please take care of yourself and skip this episode if those topics are troubling for you. However, given the very serious nature of the topics covered in this show, it is truly life-affirming. The show handles all the subjects very carefully and respectfully, but we feel it dropped the ball a bit with the follow-up after the person is “saved.” What happens with them from there? Are these people now getting...

It’s time to visit the future as we explore the moral and ethical ramifications of the digital afterlife with 2020’s Amazon Prime series, Upload. We discuss if we would upload, our feelings on the sex suits, and whether Nathan is being held hostage by Ingrid. Also, which scifi franchise has the best self-driving cars? Kevin Bigley (Luke) totally has BDE - Big DeLuise Energy. Nathan and Nora are just the cutest. We love them. Aleesha and Luke are also just amazing. Our next watch will be the K Drama Tomorrow. This month, we visit Hell’s Kitchen as we discuss season 1 of Daredevil. It’s an interesting take on a superhero show as we watch Matt wrestle with the moral and ethical arguments of what he’s doing and if it’s necessary. The casting of this show is pretty much perfect. Wilson Fisk might be one of the most compelling villains on TV. The fight scenes are so good because they don’t happen just because. There is always a bigger meaning and reason for them. Also, this show has a lot in common with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Jill Bearup’s Hallway Fight Scene Analysis:...

We return to happier times as we discuss season 1 of The Good Place. The casting for this show is totally on point. The writing across all the seasons is excellent. Just as a heads up in case you haven’t seen the entire series, we do discuss some plot points from later seasons. And if you haven’t watched the whole thing, why not? Get on it! We discuss what would be in our Good and Bad Places. What hints would tell us that what we think is the Good Place is actually the Bad Place (chores and stupid body pain)? Is the points system fair? We do go off on some tangents though…. Sorry....

This month, Rachael makes the girls watch the 2019 CW reboot Roswell, New Mexico. This is one of those shows where she didn’t want to like being a big fan of the original (as Kerri and Evelyn are), but she did! Evelyn found it to be just fine. Kerri did not like this one at all. We all think it’s a plus that the characters have been aged up out of high school. Plus, Claudia Black! It’s always good to see her. But if there is one word that could be used to describe this show, it’s “hamfisted.” There’s also just too much happening. At least half the plotlines could be dropped,...

We’re kicking off 2025 (and season 2 of this podcast!) with Season 2 of the smash hit Squid Game. If we have any complaints, it’s that this season ended on a cliffhanger. We think they did a great job keeping the emotional intensity in season 2 even though audience knows what’s going to happen during the games. And, interestingly, one of the people we’re following through the games is one of the soldiers. It seems like their side of things is just as messed up as the players. Rachael has an interesting theory that many of the people in the game were brought in by the Front Man to test...

The Claudia and Madeleine relationship might be one of the most tragic things in the show. Armand continues to be so fascinating because of this dichotomy of a vampire who has so much power but acts so powerless.
Up next, we will be watching season 1 (and maybe season 2) of the Hulu original series Extraordinary.
