We return to happier times as we discuss season 1 of The Good Place. The casting for this show is totally on point. The writing across all the seasons is excellent. This is one of those shows where she didn’t want to like being a big fan of the original (as Kerri and Evelyn are), but she did! Evelyn found it to be just fine. Kerri did not like this one at all. We’re kicking off 2025 (and season 2 of this podcast!) with Season 2 of the smash hit Squid Game. If we have any complaints, it’s that this season ended on a cliffhanger. We think they did a great job keeping the emotional intensity in season 2 even though audience knows what’s going to happen during the games. The Claudia and Madeleine relationship might be one of the most tragic things in the show. Armand continues to be so fascinating because of this dichotomy of a vampire who has so much power but acts so powerless.
Up next, we will be watching season 1 (and maybe season 2) of the Hulu original series Extraordinary.
