Yasmine was the child of incarcerated parents, so knows first-hand the struggles and difficulties that other children with incarcerated parents face. Yasmine founded ScholarCHIPS to help other children just like her to support them through scholarships, mentorship, and a peer support network to help them complete their college education. To date, ScholarCHIPS has awarded over $450,000 in college scholarships to 81 scholars and has more than 35 college graduates to date.
