The Journey West County

God’s story is always unfolding, even in the darkest moments of betrayal, suffering, and loss. This summer, we will explore two of the most compelling narratives in Scripture: the story of Joseph, who was sold by his brothers yet used by God to bring about reconciliation and provision, and the story of Ruth, a foreign widow whose loyalty and faith opened the way for redemption and restoration. Both Joseph and Ruth faced complex family dynamics, injustice, pain, and uncertainty. In their lives, we see a God who is faithfully at work, forming character, restoring relationships, and carrying...

The Journey West County

>  During the Advent season, we spent five weeks reflecting on the idea of beholding Jesus. Seeing Jesus in all his glory, splendor, and wonder. But as we expected, the Christmas season is done and now we must get back to our everyday lives. Working, parenting, and trying to be a good neighbor and friend. The questions that were circulating before the Christmas season or maybe in the midst of it, are still there:  ‍ “How do I follow Jesus in suffering?  How do I see my neighbor the same way that God sees me?  How do I become a person of integrity?  What do...

The Journey West County

“Behold,  the Lamb of God,  who takes away  the sin of the world!” When we take time to look at something from every angle, we often discover things we never noticed before. The story of Easter is one we return to again and again because it is the story of salvation. The story of promises kept and promises fulfilled. And yet, despite its power, this story is one we are overly familiar with. We often hear it, but don’t listen. We look at the cross and tomb, but don’t see them. We know it with our minds, but maybe it doesn’t reach our hearts, our bones, our souls. We...

In their lives, we see a God who is faithfully at work, forming character, restoring relationships, and carrying out His greater mission.

Their stories invite us to reflect on our own lives and ask important questions:

What does it mean to be with Jesus in identity, suffering, temptation, and waiting? Who is helping shape you into the person God is calling you to become? Where is Jesus inviting you to partner with Him in reconciliation, friendship, justice, and restoration?

These stories remind us that God is not done with us. He is with us, He is for us, and He is forming us into people who reflect His heart to the world.
